Let’s hammer them!

I think the "ticket to getting in this team is pressing" is critical. So long as we have any sorts of results, those coming off the bench will actually play with intensity off the ball.

Regarding his English, this is a big problem, and also very easily fixed. I don't understand how there isnt a system in place for language instruction that is built into how we set up new signings. You get nutritionists, you get people that help you get a house. Why the fuck don't we have people teaching English for the occupations where the occupation is football. Or if we do, why is it up to the player in some way. There shouldn't be any way he doesn't have any English by now.

There is an expectation here and I think the issue is that it doesn't show dedication on his part, but I don't think it should be a choice, because Nunez isn't the only player who you can imagine having an allergic reaction to a class.

All language takes is time. It doesn't require any theoretical understanding of anything. I don't care how thick anyone is, they all learned a language to the level required for football at about age 5.

All fair

I think having a greater comprehension of English will make like easier for him. A Scot, a mackem and a scouser potentially screaming at him, it can only help picking out some of the words.

Nunez is capable of pressing, as he was a machine early doors; directing that energy effectively will come I'm sure

Looking forward to seeing Expressions on my tiktok later

Sanchez coming on the save the day, like last week

The only thing that could make this game more Spursy is a red card. Ideally, lots of them.

West Ham have stopped being shit in their last game or so, let's hope we help them back to previous form.

I expect some forward rotation, but I also expected that last game and Diogo got another brace.

However, I think Nunez starts this one. Diaz to be back to a starter by Spurs perhaps?

Resting Fabs makes sense, but he also knows Paqueta better than most so he might be useful to have in and around their main threat. However Hendo also needs a rest after a lot of consecutive games. I wouldn't be surprised to see Fabs rested here and then Hendo rested at Spurs.

-------------Ali--------------
Trent--Ibu--VVD--Robbo
-----------Hendo-------------
------Thiago---Jones-----
Salah---Gakpo---Nunez

All alternatives are shit, we don't have another #6 to Fab so we have to manoevre with the players who are maybe naturally more of an #8.

I’m not really comfortable with Hendo at DM next to Trent. If Fabinho has to be rested, maybe Thiago is the least worst alternative - at least he has positional sense.

Plus we need Hendo in the RCM position to shuttle up to the forward line and to drop into right back as well.

West Ham has been on fire lately.

Got a feeling Captain Rice is gong to show up big time against us with a "you must buy me" preformance.

100% making this face before wasting money

Against Forest that was an issue. Trent didn't go forward as much because Hendo was hogging (and failing in ) the limelight by making those forward runs - meaning it was up to Ibu to cover Trent alone.

Jürgen Klopp held a pre-match press conference at the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday morning and, when asked for an update on the condition of his squad, said: “We have to see. We use the full time until tomorrow – well, we leave today so the decision we have to make today.

Ibou, we need to see how it is with him but in the moment I am rather positive but that doesn’t mean a lot. From possible starters I think that’s it.”

The match at London Stadium will come too soon for Naby Keita, but the midfielder is closing in on a return following an injury lay-off.

Klopp continued: “If everything goes well I think he could be in partial training today. That’s what I heard yesterday.

“He was not in team training yet but he could do warming up, if we do rondos he could do that and then he has again to do his own programme. So it means, yes, [he is] much closer, much, much closer.”

Meanwhile, the boss reiterated his hope that Roberto Firmino will be available before the end of the season: “We are still thinking that… this week, no, I hope that at the end of the week he is closer, but so far he was not in team training, so that’s it.”
