If he was judged by the first two or three games then he would be considered bang average to poor, after a number of games he was very good indeed. His ability as a number of two cannot be questioned but I just hope he's switched on enough today. Thankfully he was starting pre-season which wasn't that long ago. It's not like he's been in the stands for months.
