The Aalborg youngster has attracted the interest of several European giants, with Ajax and Borussia Dortmund also keeping tabs on the highly-rated prospect

Danish wonderkid Lucas Andersen could be on his way out of Aalborg in the winter transfer window, with Liverpool keen on a move for the teenager.

The highly rated youngster made his official first team debut for Aalborg in March 2011 at the tender age of 16, and has since developed into an important member of Aab's squad.

A number of strong performances this season have not gone unnoticed abroad, and a string of European clubs, including Ajax and Borussia Dortmund, are closely monitoring Andersen's progress, with Kenny Dalglish hoping to steal a march on the competition.

"I won't mention any names, but there's plenty of interest in Lucas. We are currently not in talks with any team, but a lot of clubs have asked us about his availability," Aalborg sporting director Lynge Jakobsen told Sporten.

Andersen recently received a call-up for the Denmark League XI national football team that will feature in the 2012 King's Cup.

Lucas is a good prospect but from what I've seen not good enough for Liverpool. Let me rephrase that, there are other in his age-group we should be looking at first if we're trawling the Danish market.

In his age-group I'd look out for the following:

Viktor Fischer (will take over from Eriksen in Ajax when the latter moves to Live.. when he moves on 🙂)
Goalscoring attacking midfielder with ability galore. A bit more selfish than Eriksen and not quite as 'Iniesta-like' but is scoring goals for fun, ghosts past players for fun and in general looking like a very very talented lad. Could end up in the VdV-mould. Is a bit difficult to liken to older players actually, not a common type.

Riza Durmisi
Having watched loads of the Danish U16/U17s last year I can firmly say he's one of my favourite young talents at the moment. Left back. Often playing more like an attacking winger mind. Pacy, skilful and got loads of tricks in the bag. Very Alves-like in his style of play and I believe with the right club and training he can become one of the best attacking full-backs in the world.

Patrick Olsen
Defensive midfielder that doesn't look 17 but 25 when you look at his calmness and approach. Sprays passes like an attacking midfielder and tackles like a Gerrard. Looks a rare breed. Strong defensive skills combined with ability going forward.

Christian Nørgaard
Silky, elegant midfielder with the approach and look of a new-age Barca-midfielder. Needs a bit more strength before going to England but if he get that part fixed he's got massive potential. Intelligent footballer the Liverpool faithfuls would love to watch in action.

Then there's a few more lads in Danny Amankwaa, strong african-born winger with pace and strenghts, Kenneth Zohore (Drogba's cousin), powerhouse striker who's still got some way to go but is still very young despite what he's already achieved and then Lucas Andersen, tricky, fast winger. A good prospect but in my opinion not the very best of a very talented lot.

I have to say that the current crop of now U18s in Denmark is probably the most talented lot ever seen over here, will be interesting to see how they fare.

Exactly the kind of player we should be in for imo. Will go straight into their U23 team despite beeing only 17-years-old.

Haha trust me I won't never go there again. This lad is like the complete opposite in terms of style and approach. Patrick Olsen as described on page one covers the same spot but is a far more elegant type.

And just for the record. I NEVER suggested Christian Poulsen as a Liverpool-signing. I did however defend him when Roy bought him and that did made me look well daft in hindsight.

According to several medias teenage winger Lucas Andersen and Juve has agreed terms on a lengthy contract.

I don't think we should've been in for him in the first place as I don't think he's anywhere near good enough yet, so perhaps a bullet dodged. For now at least.
