Is this his breakout year? Can we add another 4 goals and 10 assists from him?

He's a brick house wide. With silky skills. A star in the making who will frustrate at times.

His play leading up to the Sterling penalty was brilliant. Once he learns to finish we'll have another match winner on our books.

Like Suso - he needs to be playing regularly now to progress - and I don't think he'll get enough games for us this season.

A loan option to someone like Southampton might be a great option.

Loan him about to a premier league club so he can play 25-30 games ... Next year, he'll blossom.

I think whether that happens depends on two things, whether Rodgers needs him for squad depth and if he will keep him in the match-day squad and give him games (impact subs and against less than stellar opposition). Otherwise I agree. Team over the needs of the individual.

I'd keep him at Anfield until January at least to see if he can force his way into match day plans. We could always loan him out for the 2nd half of the season.

He's shown a hell of a lot of promise in pre-season.

sounds like a good idea

Yup. Keep him around for a while.
As you say, he has lots to improve on. But his positives far exceed his negatives. I'd like to see how he does and how he can improve. Maybe Rodgers can work the same magic on him as he did with Sterling. I'd rather that than have him potentially playing for a shite manager somewhere.

Suso, Ibe, Coates, these are all players we need to keep around. I want to put out strong sides in all four competitions, and these guys will allow us to do that.

All of whom I'd put under the same category - keep until the winter window and see how they perform as well as what the state of the team is like, fitness wise, up to that point. If they're still not regularly cracking the 18-man matchday squad and we don't have any serious injury issues, they should then probably go out on loan in the second half of the season (or even be sold, in Coates' and arguably Suso's case).

I'd definitely keep Ibe this season. Maybe Suso too. The thing about Suso is he's not as good as Coutinho in open play, including when we haven't got the ball, but if he can actually score goals from that position, maybe he'll be able to get a run of games.

I was surprised Ibe didn't get more game time last season. At one stage Sterling and Ibe looked very equal prospects.

He should stay with us this season.

Looks like a genuine game changer - something we lacked sorely on the bench last year. Would definitely keep him this season.

Would definately keep him until at least January then maybe a loan until the end of the season depending on how much game time he gets.

He's pretty much where Sterling was at this time two seasons ago when Brendan started him against City. Think he can play a decent part in our season and if there's two goals in him it's worth holding onto him IMO.

Different players - I would think of Suso maybe coming on against a team that we are struggling to unlock e.g. Parking the bus and Ibe to feature against a team who we may be more counter attacking against.

Don't teams that park the bus tend to counter attack?

I reckon Ibe and Suso are good enough to be options off the bench. Ibe going on loan at this stage only makes sense if he's going to a club which develops him into a player we want. It'd be pointless if he goes to a West Ham or the like.
