Not Cole. Barton. About to make and annoucement on twatter at 4pm abaa his future. Talk of him being released.

I'd have him. I know we've got a million midfielders. But i'd have him anyway.

He's been a revelation on twitter and although I don't always agree with him he's an interesting character. He's a classic moneyball signing too.

Just a few quotes...

"England did nothing in the World Cup, why are they bringing books out? 'We got beat in the quarter-finals, I played like shit, here's my book'. Who wants to read that? I don't."

"It's alright, I'm not going to steal your breakfast you fat prick."
At Lampard when he moved away from from him during a England training camp.

I've got a soft spot for the mad little fucker. Based on his twitter he seems to be interested in like...learning. He doesn't come across as a thug like. Just a averagely inteligent fella that's pretty boss at footie. Be boss if we swap Joey for Joey.

Do a poll mods.

Barton to us, yes or no?

Done.

Seriously can't believe people are condoning the notion of ever seeing him in a Liverpool shirt. So what if he's come across as a bit more cultured and laid back on Twitter. He's in need of a new club, not exactly going to be giving it the big stupid scouser routine is he? The lad is a ticking bomb. No, belay that, he's more like a nuclear fucking explosion waiting to happen, and when it does, I for one don't want any of the fucking fallout hovering over Anfield.

Swap for Joe Cole pros and cons.

Pro's...
Save money on wages compared to Mongy Joe. Better player. Scouse. Not going bald. Doesn't have ideas above his station with his footwork. Nasty and likes a scrap. Can cross the ball. Quite funny. Sparks people. No transfer fee. Ex con so we can be arl arse with new wages. Might toughen the young blerts and tackle shitbags up a bit.

Cons...
Non really. Other than high wages but yeah. If Cole fucks off doesnt mata.

I think there is a small difference between someone getting embroiled in an altercation when someone behaves like a prick towards them, and someone who is an out and out thug. As for my 'reaction', far as I'm aware, we are all allowed our own opinions. Even if it differs from your own view.

Total blert but for free you've got to have a think. Especially with Gerrard crocked.

Him and Adam would be a good pairing.

My problem is not that he has made mistakes.

He seems to be a repeat offender....he never fucking learns. What's the point?

It's surprising how few people are asking why Newcastle are allowing him to leave for nothing.

joey barton reckons they've decided he's a 'persona non grata'. joey's a fucking scholar these days. the pen is mightier than the cigar.

I rate him as a player but I worry that he'd be chatting his "I'm Always Right" shit about the club.

Joey Barton's an absolute fucking nutjob, but deep down i think he's genuinely a good lad.

Good player too, wouldn't want him at LFC but he'd be useful for another Club.

He would have been a more cost effective way of getting the best out of Carroll than Stuart Downing.
