He's still ace

Good for him is quite apt really as it's exactly what him and his agent have done - what's good for him. Never mind the club and fans that have paid his bloated wages. The pair of them have delivered nothing but a constant fuck you to the club. In the spirit of that, fuck him.

He's pretty lucky in my opinion. Another player experiencing his problem with injuries and failed move to England would probably be languishing in a 'lesser' team or league. To go from Roma to Liverpool and add Juventus and AC Milan amongst the clubs to play for is very lucky - not forgetting managing to earn a place in the national team too. What's more, he's reaching the 'peak age'. For his sake and Liverpool's, good luck to him (can't wait for the move to be sealed and confirmed for the complete full stop).

Alberto Aquilani was content with his Milan debut, although “we always want to win. I felt emotional before kick-off.”

The midfielder was in the starting XI for the 2-2 draw with Lazio on Friday night, a game that opened the Serie A season.

“It was an intense match, we had the chances to win, but at the end of the day can be happy with the point,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“This is a positive result, even if we always want to win. I will admit I felt emotional before kick-off, but once the game started I focused only on playing.

“Now we have to look ahead and keep working for the next games, as we are Milan and we want to win.”

Aquilani was brought in on loan from Liverpool to play on the left side of a three-man midfield.

“I do like this position, even though it has been a few years since I played there
.”

Wonder what his reception at Anfield will be like if we get drawn against his new team, whichever one that may be at the time, when we're back in the CL.

Actually, on second thoughts I don't wonder at all.

Are you a bitter in disguise?

Eh? Don't get stroppy now. All it is is that you speak very highly of a player who never wanted to be here and, with the help of his agent, has fucked the club over at every turn. Didn't want to be here but was happy to take the wages without giving his all. Constantly cried sick and his greed has made it nigh impossible for the club to move him on other than loan. I'll be surprised if we recoup any of the transfer fee we laid out for him.

"Fucked the club over at every turn" - this is clearly highly subjective.

For whatever reason it didn't work out. I'm pleased that he has the opportunity to do something somewhere else. He's a very good player and it would be a shame if his talent was wasted somewhere he isn't going to be utilised.

Id be more please if he had pulled his thumb out of his arse and played like the player he could be for US

He hardly got a game, and then was sent away on loan.

He hardly got a game due to his own reluctance to play or the 'mental issues' as Benitez referred to them. He never wanted to play here. It's funny have 3 separate managers have seemed to overlook his seemingly abundant talent.

serious question: why did he ever agree to come to england if he was so against playing here? was it just the money? and, if so, why the fuck were we paying him so much more than he was on at Roma?

He might have wanted to, but when he arrived he might have hated it here
