He's pretty lucky in my opinion. Another player experiencing his problem with injuries and failed move to England would probably be languishing in a 'lesser' team or league. To go from Roma to Liverpool and add Juventus and AC Milan amongst the clubs to play for is very lucky - not forgetting managing to earn a place in the national team too. For whatever reason it didn't work out. I'm pleased that he has the opportunity to do something somewhere else. He's a very good player and it would be a shame if his talent was wasted somewhere he isn't going to be utilised.
