Trim the wage bill, make the club look like a good purchase, take their money and run..

Wouldn't surprise me.. Something is not all as it should be..

So what does the future hold for them? Sell the club and move on? Or continue with the rebuilding?

Our transfer budget took a hit with the sacking of Kenny and his staff, but Ayre failing to provide Rodgers with an attacking signing is incompetent and not good enough. If we are to move forward he cant negotiate our transfer deals.

They're cunts Jono. There's information I'm party to which is an example about the way the Liverpool executives have behaved recently and, if it comes out, you can guarantee the shits going to hit the fan. Big time. I can not and will not share this info, not even to close confidants on here but it's nailed on true and it's fucking disgusting as well. As for our less than honest owners Rodgers was promised funds and then he had that taken away from him. He's been led to and stitched up and we're lucky he hasn't walked away. Welcome to the new owners, same as the old owners - full of star spangled lies and bullshit.

Henry has been quiet for quite a while hasn't he? Normally he chirps up with some rallying cry or tidbit of insight into how things should be done and how we're moving forward.

I can't see Rodgers coming out with a Rafa style rant over it either. He is probably just happy to have an opportunity to manage such a big club.

The whole thing stinks.. It would not surprise me one bit if the club is put up for sale within the next 12 months..

It is clear things are not as they should be. I was looking at the Squad list yesterday, it's pretty much down to our bare bones.. I struggle to see how we can compete on all fronts this season..

Yankee fuckers!
They should allowed to own Football Clubs in UK. Look at all the clubs that have American owners and you will notice that the underlying theme is financial gain for themselves, to the detriment of the club and fans.
Scum, Villa, Arsenal, ourselves (2nd time!)
Sure Scum & Arse are constantly in CL, but that's more down to the long term Managers they have.
We're on our 4th since Snoogy and Doogie, Villa probably the same.
Cunts should just stick to American Football, Hockey or Baseball and leave "soccer" altogether.
Man, I hate Yank owners.
Where are the Qatari's / Arabs when we need them?

It's good to see people are realising what we've ended up with owner wise. It took me a while and it's not a nice realisation. Lipstick on a big fat sweaty fucking pig.

Me neither, and you know what I'll be glad to get rid of them.
As long as it's not to some other American Sporting Group that has experience with MLS, NHL, NFL, NBA teams, cos that shit just don't fly anymore.
Absent of a wage cap, their "fantastic" experience and achievements means sweet fuck all to footy in the UK.

@BenSmithBBC
Was told yesterday, Brendan Rodgers only realised his £20m summer transfer budget included wages, very late on.

WIthout actually knowing Sunny's info, I still can't form an opinion on them.
For all we know, the Dempsey signing was Ayre's fuck up, rather than FSG, but we still went out and spent close to 30m, after the 80m disaster of only last year.

The transfer business is discussed as a committee among the main players. If that was so Ayre would have had to have put him straight at an early stage.

The goal-posts must have shifted since BR and his team agreed transfer plans.

Exactly. I feel sorry for BR. He has my full support though. He's spent smartly with what he has had to spend.

I agree. It is sad that the trust has been broken so early in his relationship with the board. FSG have made much of the 'now we're all pulling in the same direction' line, as a way of diferentiating between their tenure and the fractured internal relations that marked the H&G era. I'm afraid things could very easily go the same way.

Last week they got rid of over $250m worth of contracts from the Boston red sox (two of which were marquee signings only a year ago).

I'm sure Ross can give more details.

The club is riddled with incompetence. I hope they do sell up and I'll be doing my bit to make it happen.

I think he will. It's early days yet though. He has to get himself into a strong position before he can show reasonable defiance with the supporters on side, and to do that he has to get us performing to a level the fans will appreciate.

And it just looks like the same sweaty pig that was took to the slaughter house two years ago.

The supporters need to send a clear message at tomorrow's game that they are fully behind the manager then let Ayre and his puppet masters that they are not wanted. Get out liars.

I know we're lacking in the striker's department, but have we done that poorly this transfer window? I don't think so. I'm looking forward to seeing our new players in action, and whether you like it or not FSG had some part to play in their transfers. Can more be done? Of course. But the tide was always going to be against us during this window. Everyone knew we were out for a striker and we had to shake off our reputation for over-purchasing.

At the very least we've corrected some of that perception. If we go into January still contending for 4th, it will be a lot easier and cheaper to get players of good quality. A massive if of course.

I said the club might look to sell once they saw the fair spending rule was not going to help them plus the tv money issue last year.

We didn't get a major target because the arseholes in charge wouldn't stump up an extra million something they would have recouped in 2 weeks after slashIng the wage bill. They're no better than the last lot. No stadium and no investment in the squad.

Nobody knows whats gone on behind the scenes so i for one am going to reserve my judgement and not jump into the lynch mob like all the people that seem to be desperate for someone to blame around here

Well at least they gave the club a mascot. That was nice of them. And now, if Rodgers performs a miracle and keeps the club in the upper part of the table until January, no doubt FSG will regard that as justification of their parsimonious attitude and continue just the same.

Rael: that's not entirely true. They made a big investment for Kenny and unfortunately he didn't make it count.

That said, I'm very disappointed this morning. Not getting another striker in is bad enough. Not doing it for the sake of £1 mill.(IF that's what really happened) is very short-sighted and leaves us very light indeed up front until January at least.

we've got a talented young manager and we have some fantastic young talents starting to hit the first team and have added to it by buying great young prospects, don't know whats the deal with all the negativity but from where im sitting the future looks bright

Oh oh, we have barely started the season.
Roll on 2013/14 - in the championship?
