David Silva confirmed himself as the best player in the Premier League. He's absolutely unreal.

And yeah, people shouldn't get too caught up in the 'bigger picture' all of the time. If you cannot enjoy these moments then you may as well give up on football already.

Slow and weak was it? Something like that. I've been raving about Silva from day one. Love him. He's my favourite non Liverpool player at the mo, well bar Super Mario The Human Highlight Reel of course. His pass to Dzeko was ridiculously classy.

He did cost them 24 million so it's not like they got him on the cheap but he's worth it. Suprised Barca didn't sign him up the greedy bastards. Madrid have Ozil who is a similarly gifted player so the path to the premier league was wide open for him.

I've noticed he does a similar kind of thing Xavi does when he gets closed down, which is just to turn around with the ball on the spot.

It's so simple and yet defenders can never seem to do anything about it.

I'm surprised you didnt like Mereiles more than you alluded to. I'm not saying he's in the class of the two mentioned above but he was a cracking player. He's the kind if player I thought you'd love, movement, quick passer of the ball, intelligent etc.

Every time there was one of those 'pick one player' threads id pick Silva.
Its heartbreaking hes over there being lets face it THE star amongst a galaxy of stars.
We were so close to having a midfield of Gerrard, Silva, Alonso, Mascherano, Lucas could you imagine that.
 
Yeah I wanted Mata then to try appease me some how after watching Silva go to city.
I was on the rebound is all. A German is my next bandwagon. I think Muller is freakishly good and will only get better. Plus we should have broken the bank for schwein this summer. Gotze, Ozil, Kroos, Marin, Gomes. Plus the younger german again slug and a few others keep mentioning. Schurrle perhaps? It's hard to prize them away it seems. Was worried united would get Ozil the summer he went to madrido.

Another player im gambling on is the Russian player Alan Dzagoev (sp?). Roopy raves about him too I believe. Khl looks to be on the money with Erickson too. He looks silly good. As Keni said albeit quite facetiously "we'll get the next one".

My iPhone is on shuffle and just played Belle and Sebastian, Piazza new York catcher as I wrote this. Nothing to do with anything bar it being a good song.

It's frustrating I give you that. Demoralising ? That, for me, would be if we weren't controlling games and we weren't creating anything at all. That's just not the case. Wev'e room for improvement undoubtedly but we'll click sooner or later I'm sure and hit a rich vein of goalscoring form. Watch us fly, just watch. Boom !
