Hate to disagree old chum but:

De Gea
Evra
Vidic
Jones
Carrick
Valencia
Kagawa
Rooney
RVP
Hernandez

It's obviously a good side, but that they're in with a shout of getting the record points total for the PL - that's an incredible return engineered by Alex, it really is.

You have to hand it to the guy. Thirteen league titles, two European Cups, he has been a brilliant manager for the Mancs.
I know I am going to get hammered for saying this but in my opinion, pound for pound, he is the greatest manger, English football has seen, if not world football.
I know he has his critics but if he had been our manager for the last twenty years we all would love him now.
I have to admit to an amount of jealousy of the Mancs and can't help myself coveting their manager.
Respect to Sir Alex.
*Vomits*

I suppose there is no denying his record but I detest the bacon faced old cunt like no other. He's a snidey, manc twat and the sooner he retires the happier I'll be.

That's not my point mate, Vlad said he would only take RVP.

I'd have all of the above in the Liverpool side.

As opposed to the famous touchy feely approach BR favours? I suppose that's true. He's still a horrible old tosser though.

The guy is a winner no matter what you think of him - why ? - because he does what counts which is to win games pretty or ugly. Also it is so obvious in terms of what he instructs his team to do that I am surprised no one copies it enough - only Jose Mourinho has done something similar which is to play direct, and press using crosses and quick direct passing - just dominating the game and the opposition. There team this year was IMHO - just pure rubbish but they still beat sugar daddy teams. He does not let his team stick to a rigid structure or force them to play a certain style - he plays an adaptive style.

1. Fergie has rebuilt his side more than any other manager in the history of the game and continues to keep his club at the top of the game. This is impressive

2. And this is probably the 1 point that nobody can argue is that he has stood the test of time. How many great manager including our own retired due to stress or feeling that had accomplished everything in the game? People talk of Paisley being incredible for 9 years etc...... Even Guardiola needed a break after a few years at Barca. Fergie with almost no talk of stress or pressure has plodded on for over 20 years at 1 of the biggest clubs in world football and consistently got them winning the bread and butter season in season out.

3. He's still a total cnut and I can't wait til he finally retires.

There is absolutely no correlation between Ferguson's 25 years as a manager and Man United's success.

That is because managers are irrelevant and "do not have any ability to make a squad better than they are".

Tbf to Ross, he's always maintained that some managers make a difference, just a majority don't

Fergie is in the minority

Ah, so good managers make a difference whilst bad ones don't?

Thank the lord we have Ross to enlighten us.

Good post. I'd add that, if you hear or read about how tightly he organises the football side of that club, it's clear that their on-field success starts a long way back from the touchline. We by contrast have been a shambles off the field for most of the past two decades.

But he's a cunt. No matter how much or how little success he's had, and no matter how good or shit he is at his job, I could never respect him, because of all his other horrible qualities.
