You have to hand it to the guy. Thirteen league titles, two European Cups, he has been a brilliant manager for the Mancs.
I know I am going to get hammered for saying this but in my opinion, pound for pound, he is the greatest manger, English football has seen, if not world football.
I know he has his critics but if he had been our manager for the last twenty years we all would love him now.
I have to admit to an amount of jealousy of the Mancs and can't help myself coveting their manager.
Respect to Sir Alex.

The Suarez thread is littered with posters banging on about how we've lost our identity as a club while lavishing praise on this prick. Irony right there. The Liverpool way is dead because we support a player who over steps the mark in a will to win, but Fergie is praised while the intimidation of refs, the massive influence over the Governing bodies and his tendency to screw over anyone in any demeaning way that he can is completely overlooked?

Respect? I'd reserve him as much respect as I reserved Thatcher. I can't wait until he leaves and I hope before he does they capitulate and some serious karma shit comes their way, for everytime Rooney has got away with calling a ref a twat, everytime he's spat his dummy out and the FA have got on their knees for him, and everytime he's bounced up and down that touchline with his arms waving like a 3 year old kid that's just dropped an ice cream.

I fucking HATE him.
 
He had it pretty easy once United went public all those years ago giving them a massive money advantage.

He is very good on transfers and contracts. United rarely get stuck with shite players on massive money. He knows how to build a squad, he knows when to dump a player.
 
I have an irrational loathing of that man, watching him lose is 2nd only to watching us win in terms of the satisfaction it brings me, I cannot wait til he dies/retires.

But yes he is a phenomenon of a manager
 
It would be foolish to deny that the hypocritical bully, that is ferguson, has been massively successful domestically. His record is one in two overall and thirteen in the last twentyone years.

However in Europe he has been a massive failure. Two European cups in 25 years is not a great achievement and the fact that no British club made it even as far as the last eight this year, is testament to how easy utd had it in the league this season.

Except that apart from winning in 98/99 and 07/08, Man Utd were finalists in 08/09, 10/11
(i.e. 3 times in the last 5 years which is more than anyone else incl Barcelona so saying hes been a massive failure is a bit fucking dumb.

Oh in the last eight years, (since 04/05) EIGHT English clubs have entered the finals (average of one a year) so I'm not sure how easy it is in the league (the league, btw that we can't even get into the top five of)

So its five years since they won it. Even worse than I thought!

You can talk about all the final appearances you like, but the fact is that the most dominant team in England in the past twenty years have won the European Cup just twice in that period.

Yeah, but he's still a cunthole.
 
His record is extraordinary. So is his behaviour, in a totally different way. Great manager, complete @rsehole who has done more than any other single individual to foster the nastier aspects of the game as it is today. That he should have got a knighthood for "services to football" is a sick joke.

Rvp hasn't won it for them. Having a committed, strong squad has.

How often were we laying goals on a plate for players last year? You need the people to convert. United have 6 players (at least) who are excellent at finishing. Just because rvp scored the bulk of the goals means nothing. He had a team around him who provided and picked up the slack when he was off form.

That is why we fail. We have few players who can make a difference when suarez is off form.
 
Rooney - 10 assists, 12 goals
Van persie - 8 assists, 24 goals
Evra - 5 assists

They rotate a Fucking lot as well. These 3 are relatively the only consistent starters (bar carrick)

They have the best front 2 in the Premier league. In form and ability. End of really. Last year was an error, due to city's policy of buying every cunt with talent.
