He can be as rubbish as he wants as long as he keeps banging them in.
I agree he was average aside from the goals but he won us the match.
Now compare that to Firmino who was just as average but didn't score, it's a big deal.
I thought Firmino was streaks ahead and held onto the ball really well, in an advanced roll with his back to goal a lot.
Of course I'll be happy if Phillipe does that every week but it's hardly likely or sustainable. I'd rather he improved his passing and decision making as it will have bigger long term effect on our season.

Have a good striker in front of him and he'll improve.
Firmino lost the ball too many times for my liking.

Firmino's not used to playing in that position.

Agree about Coutinho though. A goal threat and, especially, better movement in front of him will get the best out of him, and that best is considerable.

He talks sense does our manager, that's for damn sure.

"We could do better, but good as a first try" He says about the front three that started today.

Think we'll see that again at least a few times this season.

We've just beaten Chavski 3-1 on their own onion patch and he's telling them, however obliquely, that we weren't even at our best. Gotta love it. 😀

Most media people are doing the same. Best get used to it 'coz most of them are too lazy to bother getting it right.

Signed Jesus
To be fair there are still loads of Liverpool fans on various sites including this one doing the same. Some mad variations around.
