- Was very impressed by the maturity of some of the kids and how they were pressing and making the right decisions with the passing game.
- A really nice win, considering many thought we would be throwing away points here with the line up

Ward - A few flaps, which I guess we'd expect, but overall, seems like a solid young keeper. Some really good saves, and no chance on the goal.

Randall - Played well - no mistakes, but I feel he lacks pace which will cause him problems continuously at this level.
Toure - Solid and dependable.
Lucas - King was too strong and fast for him. He got by him far too many times, and really not sure what Lucas was doing on their goal (Sorry Arn).
Smith - Seems like he's improved defensively. Like his eagerness to attack.

Allen - great performance from Pirlo. Pressed excellently, passed well and was the best player on the pitch bar Studge.
KStew - a few brainfarts while in possession, but some excellent defensive blocks and solid passing. A nice back up DM in the making.

Ojo - Very impressed with him. Very mature, disciplined performance. Great movement, took on players well, some good passing and just looks like a really good player in the making.
Ibe - Extremely happy for him. He was very smart in possession, tracked back well, pressed well and I cannot remember any major mistakes on the ball. If he makes it with us and actually realizes his huge potential, this is the game I will look back as where as one where he showed he had the intelligence to match his physical abilities.
Firmino - so bloody wasteful, but pops up with a goal. He's extremely important in our pressing game - leads it really well and his enthusiasm seems to be contagious.

Studge - MoTM. Should have had a hat trick really. Great movement, great touches in the box and just looks like he's rounding into form.

Subs:
Sakho - comes in, and King breezes by him. But then a few crucial blocks and a ball of the line. I guess that's what we get with him.
Lallana - dependable, solid.
Origi - some nice touches, seems to be oozing in confidence.

Klopp - young team, which I like, but understandable why people were irked with the line up. I think the fact the team played so well as a unit is a great testament to what he's instilling.

Nice one! Thanks for the updates lads. I managed to catch the last 20mins on a stream GK posted up.

And no @Red Mullet and @Best Believe It - I'm not on holiday. Let's just say I'm here for medicinal reasons and the 'hotel' I'm staying at only give me access to my phone once a week. All is cool though 😎

Sturridge's ability to create a shot when he's in and around the 18-yard box is just top class. I'll keep him even if he's only able to stay fully fit and in this mode for 20 league games a season. That's 20 league games where we've maybe doubled our chances of scoring. With a bit of luck, easily a hat-trick today.

Not happy with the second half - we got sloppy and then got jittery. We've a decent to good bunch of U21 players. Not everyone is going to make it here, like Brendan said pre-game, but I'm glad Klopp gave these guys a chance in this game - there aren't too many games in the league where you can try so many rookies at the same time; Bournemouth had nothing to play for, play an open game that suits us, and aren't packed with quality, so it presented a great opportunity for Klopp to make some bold moves.

The overall performance wasn't that good, but we got the result and learned a bit more about some of the younger guys.

Ward - A few flaps, which I guess we'd expect, but overall, seems like a solid young keeper. Good

I think he came out and got nothing for the corner at the end which led eventually to the clearance pumped back in to King that resulted in the goal, but otherwise, I don't remember seeing any other flaps? I wasn't a fan of his when he was with the U21s, but I thought he showed in this game that his kicking clearances were pretty good - powerful and got good distance on them - and he was often looking to initiate attacks with long throws as well. That finger tip he got to King's shot was superb - without that, they'd have pulled one back much earlier.

Toure out with a muscle problem.
Origi got a knock to his back, hopefully nothing serious according to Klopp.

Good win that!

Klopp on Jordon Ibe: "I heard he had some problems with me—absolutely not. He's still a brilliant, big, big talent. He did well today."

Post game thoughts here.

Studge looked good.

Danny Ward looked a little shakey but overall good.

Brad Smith? Connor Randall?

Ojo was good again?

Ibe on the way back?

I thought he had one more corner where he came out and didn't get the ball.

Overall, I liked what I saw (two saves that weren't hard but held onto the ball comfortably.

If he only gets to use his phone once a week, it sounds as if he is being detained at Her Majesty's Pleasure.

Ha good guess but no. Anyway - A good win and from what I saw that Ojo looked the part.

It's 10.15pm here. I'm off for a cup of tea. 😉

Lucas wasn't that great today to say the least.

Smith need a GPS. Out of position to many times and that left our central defenders in dangerous one on one situations. He will learn. He is still young.

I won't blame anyone today because you can't expect the players to play as a team when you make so many changes as Klopp did today.

We won with the b team playing most of the game.

Your eyes will hurt at first, but they will quickly adjust to the ambient lighting levels.

Thought Klopp had gone with one or two youngsters too many but ultimately we looked pretty comfortable and got much needed improvement from Ibe and to a lesser extent Sturridge.

Is it just me that isn't overly impressed by Stewart? Started off well enough but has looked average in the last couple games for me.

Just came back from injury though. Looks a bit rusty
