Just by getting rid of Kuyt, Maxi, Cole and Aqua, we'd free up roughly 16mil in wages + whatever we can get for them in terms of a transfer fee. You've got enough money right there to buy in a quality young attacker, and all we'd be losing from our current squad are 2 old players who seem surplus to requirements.

Hoillet and Strootman so far.

Everything else would be dependant on who we could get rid of.

hoilett is a good shout, no idea who strootman is.

personally speaking I would pick up holllet on a free and then blow the majority of our budget on javi martinez. any money left over I would try to pick a decent attacking midfielder.

Dalglish, Kuyt, Aqua, Cole, Downing.

Bring in a striker and Martinez. Then go all out for Jose.

I really don't look forward to the next transfer window. I have a feeling it's gonna be the same old story again.
We'll sell Suarez in order to get Steven Fletcher and Jarvis.

We might actually have a decent chance of landing Hoillet seeing as most of our rivals seem well catered for in this area.

I love how people always suggest unobtainable players as the solution to our problems.

If I had my way I'd replace Downing with Messi, Carroll with Cavani, Kuyt with Soldado, Lucas with Martinez, Adam with Schneider, Carragher with Pique.

Job done.

I don't think martinez is unobtainable, his fee will be massive but I think he would come if we paid it. you want to say we wouldn't be in for a CM who would cost so much, that is a valid arguement but I think martinez differs from say hazard where EVERYONE will be after him so there isn't a chance we'll get him.

If people want the likes of Shelvey, Suso and Sterling to come through, they need to take that into consideration when proposing all of these other players. It complicates matters, but it also makes it more realistic and constructive.

we can't risk our season going tits up again if lucas is injured or if he fails to fully recover from injury.

Well, no, but that's not what I was saying. What I was saying is that it's not that helpful if people completely ignore what young players we want to come through and just concentrate on scattershot suggestions for new signings, some of whom might well block the progress of the best young prospects. Apart from being unhelpful, it would also be unrealistic, because the club's official policy is not to block the progress of such prospects.

Fine. Lets go buy Cattermole, Hoilett, Fletcher, and why not pay £35million for Cisse and turn him shite too?

Why can't we attract the big names? If we don't we are fucked. Simple as that.
