Adama Traore

I don't mind him coming to us - we have needed a driving force in midfield that can break through opposition lines with sheer force and trickery. He is always capable of doing this. What we also need is a fit midfield guy to cover for Fab, so if we get Traore and Bissouma that will be enough to make us official title challengers. It's enough guys we can win the league, can you imagine our back line with Muscles and Fab in midfield and Bissouma - FUCK ME - if I was an opposition player I would piss myself before coming onto the pitch.

Watched him vs Man U on MOTD he was very impressive brust pass players, yes he go on or two decisions on who to pass to wrong (Who doesn't) but Mane has been doing that for months now.
But watch the speed he broke at,If it was Salah on the end of those pass 99% of the time it is in the back of the net.
Beginning to seriously think we should bring him in to the squad for the Ox and use him say cover for Mane
Mane still looks a shadow of the player he was two-three seasons ago, and is a better option than Origi

He was pretty good today. Decision making seemed to get worse near the end of the game, either due to tiredness of desperation to push for a win.

I'd like to think we have a higher bar set than being better than Origi though.

He terrorizes defenses but can't score to save his life. Is he good enough at setting up others that we think he can lay it on for Mo or Jota? That's the question because he just doesn't have the composure to finish.

He’d be a great option to have if we’d developed him and he was already in the squad, but with prices the way they are in the league he’d really not be worth it.

Can't disagree with anything said here. Just feel looking at Mane and how poor he has been the last couple seasons or so that Adama Traoré would be a better option than Mane at present. worring thing for me with Mane He seems to have lost his ability to ghost pass players, and his passing seems to be no where near his fellow team mates when trying to lay the ball off. In fairness that can be laid at the feet of most of our players (No pun intented)

Can't see Jota blasting pass players,Neither Eillot,Jones nor the 15min man AOC; beside I feel that Jota is better through the middle of the three.
Also can you imagine bring on someone with that among of raw pace and the strengh to go with it, with tweny mins to go in a game?

Just thing that it would be worth considering

EDIT:- He is at time unplayable, and untouchable with his speed from the start of a game. Can yo inmagine that speed vs tired or tiring legs..?

The CL final vs Real... Before Sergio Ramos took out Mo. The where so frightened of Salah's pace that Marcelo hardly go into our half unless Salah was there. With in minutes of Salah leave the pitch he (Marcelo) was running rampant and creating all manner of chances down the line... Imagine players like Des Walker (City) Reece James(Chelsea) Wan Bissaka (Utd),
CL teams Like Real, Milan's, Bayern trying to cope with that pace, having the FB pinned back becuase their concerns about his pace..?

I can see the attraction go Traore but I’d be all over Maxin instead.
Knowing the speed demon that Traore is, but can finish, and over all game at present is better. But I believe that is another reason to go for Traore. IMO Maxin would cost more. And Traore is a raw talent that can be hone, developed and sharpen to deverstating effect for us...
But hey, nuff said

I'd take either right now. Our lads aren't getting any younger and klopp and his unique improvement skills are only gonna be around another couple of years.

Cisse was the fastest man on any given pitch and still stood offside all the fucking time. Most frustrating player I can think of.

Heh true. Traore is pretty frustrating too though.

Wolves would most likely try and rinse us over the fee and he's just not worth it (the risk). We do need a player but I'd much rather get a top tier up and coming talent that's got the skill set we need.

If the fee were reasonable, I'd be willing to consider Traore. He would press defenses back (yes), he might set up our scorers (maybe), and he could find a rich vein of finishing not yet seen (unlikely).

But if he's going to cost 50m, I don't think we can make that move. If we can get him for 30m, maybe.

How much would St-Maximim cost and is he actually a better fit? I've only seen him in bits and pieces.

St-Maximim is ace but I have no idea how much either of them would be valued at. Like I say it doesn't really matter because I can't see us buying anyone no matter what the price.

he use to score double digits each season. Personally I would prefer a goal scoring MF

As well would be nice, but then that still leaves the problem of Mane and his loss of being able to go pass defenders...
We need someone out there that can take defenders on. Origi use to do that, but as we see he no longer can, and it looks as if Mane is going the same way

Not qouting this a gospel just a rough guide as how Traore is valued 27M

Allan Saint-Maximin they value him as the same 27m
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/allan-saint-maximin/profil/spieler/272642

How much would they be worth to their respective teams and manager?
Newcastle value him at 70m
Feel that Mike ashley would want the moon of any of the Newcastle players

Wolves value Traore at the same, although Tottenham feel the gane seal a deal around the 40-50m mark
So unless we LFC can sell Mane for Coutinho money we will not be see either of these players anytime soon even if Kloop wants one of them

Traore is insanly frustrating to watch. In the game against Utd he made so many wrong decisions and his finishing was awful.
Stay away. Move on. Look somewhere else.

He’s phenomenal. Would love us to get him.

We've already had a Adama Traoré type. His name was Djibril Cissé.

I thought Cisse was the opposite of Adama Traore. Very little in terms of approach play or dribbling or ability to avoid the offside trap but knew how to put the ball in the net. The Lord of Frodsham scored 19 goals in 2005-2006 season and he scored similar or higher numbers when he was not injured albeit in the French league.

He also scored a penalty in Istanbul, made valuable contributions in the FA cup final. He is way above Adama Traore in my opinion.

Kick and run, shoot ball straight at goal without considering placing it. That's how I remember Cisse
