Has there ever been a player who is both unstoppable and pitiful at the same time? When he has the ball at his feet, there is almost nothing defenders can do to prevent him from crossing or taking a shot on goal. But his own confidence in his finishing is so low that you can just almost allow him a free run on goal knowing that he will almost certainly miss and probably miss badly. Just a unique specimen of a player and I wonder what will happen to him in the future – will he eventually sort out that issue or will the coaches be forced to more or less forbid him to shoot and turn him into a wing-back or something like that. Bruno Lage is finding out the hard way that it doesn't matter how much you create and dominate if you can't put the ball in the net.

Nuno wants him, apparently.

Can't see any reason why, other than they have money to burn, and he has worked with him before

Spurs is a great place for him to go - they absolutely love overpaying for shit players when they sell their good ones.

I had hoped they might fancy spending a massive wad on Origi when they flog sloppy- chops off.

I used to always miss them one on ones when I played as a forward. If someone whipped a ball in and I just needed to get something on it I'd score, but give me more than two seconds to think and nope. Might as well have been a backpass.... But wasn't Suarez a bit like that when we got him? I think it can be coached.

I was like that during my time chatting up birds. Give them more than two seconds to think and nope, may as well try someone else.

Hang on...

He was known for not making the right decisions acouple of seasons ago, and have worked on that side of his game.
Somehere believes that It comes natural to ever player to be able to finish. Hence why not everyone is a striker.
No matter how good you are you need to be constantly honing those skill.
I believe that under Nuno their main focus was on his delivery and balls into the box. In that respect he is a much improved player form two seasons ago. So If he works at his finishing I see no reason to believe he can not improve on that. It is a skill just like tackling, delivering crosses and free kick. You practice and you become better even if your name is Messi,Ronaldo,or Salah

Honestly don't think he's made for football, he's 25 and he's doing the same knock it 50 yards ahead and blitz past everyone tactic for the last 3-4 years.

The only reason he gets into that Wolves side is 1) there's no competition for places and 2) the off chance he'll actually come good for a few games.

For most teams in the Prem he's an impact sub player at best.

Sort out his finishing and what a impact sub player he would be, and that what we really lack

It's not just his finishing though it is, his passing is terrible, his end product is disatraous...he needs about 20 attempts to register an "assist"....is his work rate defensively much good? Questionable....We took Jota from them because although he lacks the pace and power, he has everything else in his favour.

To be fair to Traore, he did look a lot better for a while last season. And then he got injured / covid and one or both of them seemed to kill his form.

The thing that worries me with Traoré is that he's overly reliant on his pace. I mean how long can he keep it up?

He's not very good, sadly. A physical monster and nearly impossible to get the ball off when on form. But equally impossible to play alongside as a team mate. He's probably at the level he should be on now.

Was it last season or was it the season before last? He did have a purple patch, including scaring the shit out of us every time he got the ball, though as ever, whilst brilliant at leading breaks and disrupting a team's ability to keep Wolves under pressure for long periods his end product was still turd. He has 9 goals in 123 appearances for Wolves in all competitions.

I enjoy watching Traore, and did advocate signing him when he was at Boro and going on the cheap, but he's too far gone now in terms of development to kick onto the level we would need. Wolves is about his level. I'll be laughing if Spurs blow a wedge of the Kane money on Traore.

You could be right. This last year and a half has basically blended together into one rather shitty long day in my brain.

Yeah fair point. I'm not his biggest fan so I'm not the person to defend him. Just wanted to point out there was a spell where he actually did look effective.

He's not good enough for us. The idea that all it'll take is some training sessions and Klopp hugs to turn him into a great player when limited to a few sub appearances is farcical. Enough already.

Strange... Most of you truly believe that Klopp can take a player that you like and turn him into a great play.People here say it often enough...
Is that becuase you don't like the player or is it that you no longer see Klopp as a managerial god? 🙄

Point taken binomial... thank you
