Sorry to start a separate thread over this but I cannot calm down about replacing those 4 with Borini on his own when we struggled to score enough last season.

I'm not having this I thought we would get Dempsey or Sturridge shite on the last day so I let Andy go, you wait until they happen before you let Carroll go.

Why not make West Ham wait until the last minutes of the window to sign on the dotted line until our business is done.

mate just because they want to go does not mean you should let them.

They are pros, deadly would have stayed if given the arm around the shoulder maybe same for Maxi, only bellers had to go

Those players you named played across the front three. Given that this season so far we have played Sterling, Borini, Suso, Assaidi across there so we have replaced the players you name with these 4.

Also, in the first 5 league games of last season NONE of those players you name scored a goal.

once Borini breaks his duck he'll be more confident in front of goal but he should be playing down the middle.. Assaidi will chip in with the goals

He's got a point though Andy. We've taken 30 odd goals, but more importantly hundreds of games worth of experience out of the side and it'll cost us - certainly in the short term.

The 4 you've named won't score 30 this season, and their development could have been aided by some senior, experienced support alongside them. We cannot surely expect guys like Sterling to play 40+ games this season.

Probably. Hopefully that's where Assaidi will come in as a replacement for him or Borini/Suarez, but I get the point. Sterling doesn't look like getting dropped at the minute. That said, if we can take something from the United game, it's that Rodgers isn't afraid to withdraw him when needs be. He kept him out of the Europa Cup game aswell.
