Re: El Judas

He's been so fantastically shite for a very long time now, that you would think the Torres we once will never return.

Re: El Judas

Hahahaha. If we paid 20m for Torres & he scored only 7/8 goals they'd still look like complete twats after buying him for 50m in the first place.

There's no way they'd risk that, surely?!

Re: El Judas

Even if they are trying to off load him (my chelsea supporting colleague insists they won't as drogba is off to the African Nations ) , the only way they'd sell him back here is if he dug his heels in and demanded the move . And I doubt he'll do that . I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up back at A.Madrid sometime soon....they do spend big from time to time and could probably afford 20m . Them or somewhere Benitez might get a job .

Re: El Judas

Thursdays papers will have a Redknapp interview, out of his car window obvs with a mobile in his hand; Triffic player he is, family man. We dont talk about other players here at Spurs but Id love to sign him. The chairman is working on something there.

Hahahaha, funny cos it's true.

Re: El Judas

Wasn't there an article ages ago when he was playing well where he said he wanted to play in italy and germany at some point in his career? He would probably follow rafa if he can be arsed getting a job.

Part of me can see him coming back apologising and playing like he used to, but then I realise he's a bit shit now and in physical decline. We'd be doing what spurs done by resigning robbie keane from us, trying to make chelsea looks like cunts but ultimately shooting ourselves in the pocket in the long term.

Re: El Judas

Yep , all logic points to not signing him , he's been 'shite' for a while now , he fucked us over for them cunts , we should be looking at a younger in form player yet still there is a part of you that would be very tempted , lured by past memories . Just shows the love he had here ........a love he fucked off .

Re: El Judas

I'd defo have him back for 20 mil.

I actually feel a bit sorry for him these days.

Though I guess I'm just getting caught up in the nostalgia of just how good he was for us.

Re: El Judas

He's not coming back and they're not selling him in January.

Re: El Judas

If you watched his last two years nobody would think he was a £20M striker. You're all being clouded by times which no longer exist.

I'd laugh at anyone who spent £20M on Fernando Torres. He's gone. We knew it, and now Chelsea do, too.

Re: El Judas

Have they got bigger balls than us to get rid of their expensive flop of a striker ?

Thing is, Fernando's body is rumoured to be fucked, so it would make more sense to cut their losses because they know he'll never recapture his early form for us. He simply can't. Selling him now would be a case of recoup what you can before all his value diminishes.

I'm not quite sure how we get the best of Andy Carroll. Chances are we'd have to change our set-up and we may well never do, but I suppose their could be a belief that he one day will grow in confidence and adapt to Liverpool FC and prove his worth. It's not likely, I know, but there's more chance of that than Fernando 'rediscovering his form', IMO. We can afford to give Carroll a season, possibly two. Chelsea cannot do that with Torres.

I'm in the 'no' category.

Carroll will never be as good as Torres; but at the same time i dont think he'd be as disinterested as Torres as in his last season with us. He's been at best patchy for the Chavs. Do we really want to take a chance and see whether he'd be good?

Buying Carroll was an error; to get Torres back would just compound it.

He'll go to AC if they don't get Tevez
[/quote]

Quite possibly AC or Inter.

He was always linked with a move to Inter while he was at Atleti.

And with Diego Milito having a shocking season, they could well make a move for him.

Re: El Judas

I still think if Torres was made the focal attack point for any team he's still get goals as he i a great finisher and gets into the correct positions.

It's his blistering pace that has left him and the confidence.

One of which can be gained by getting a fresh start.

How about we loan him for the rest of the season with an option to buy him for 25m at the end of the season.

At the same time we loan Carroll back to Newcastle.

No risk with the potential of great reward.

Not really mate. Sure if we got some money from Carroll I wouldn't rush out and spend it on that cunt, but still, a straight swap for Carroll is the best deal we would ever, ever get for the Geordie Horse.

Whoa, different questions, surely!

Leaving aside the morbid stupidity of the original question, I don't think Suarez and Torres could play well togethor.

Re: El Judas

Reputation aside, if they sell a player who isn't getting games nor contributing much to the first team, and spend the money from the sale and making a signing as influential as Mata, then it'll still be a good move.
