i'm in the yes camp. i think he'd still score plenty in our team, and it looked like he was getting some serious form back before he got himself sent off. not too sure what's happened since, but i certainly think he's still worth at least £15m. and i don't hold any grudge against him, really. he said some pretty unpleasant things, but i think there was probably plenty going on behind the scenes we didn't know about.

Initially sitting on the fence but have decided to say no. The relationship between fans and players is pretty important and I think it'll be tough for him to replicate the form he was in with us. Besides, given his current form, will he be able to 'recover' his scoring touch instantly? Then, there's the injury issue. Can we be sure its over or is it just avoided cos he's not been on the pitch playing?
 
I'm in the "depends on the deal" camp, but no to what was said in the OP.

It would have to be a hell of a great deal for me to want him back.
 
I would take the deal offered in the original post. Although I'm in the camp which would swap Carroll for a bag of potatoes.
 
I think you can pretty much put all the Scousers in the "no" section, except for Jon Neo Fox.

Andy Bell's a "yes", unless his 'Fernando' post/thread was one of his japes.

Carroll is worth about 18 million.

Both worth half what was actually paid for them. As for Torres coming back? No chance, though I'd prefer him to Carroll because he was once the best striker in the world, where as Andy was once the best striker in division one.

The "I'd take him on a 6 month loan deal" is a proper cop out. You could make an argument to sign anybody on a 6 month loan deal given how little risk you're taking on.
