Why the fuck *are* you here?

Nobody likes you, repects what you say, or is anyway interested in your opinions

It seems rather futile
Obviously you are interested in my opinion. :🙂

We finished yesterdays game with a front 3 of Kuyt, Ngog and El Zhar. I understand all the financial issues but that\'s just not good enough for a club of our stature. I doubt anyone would bat an eyelid if that was the front line of a lower mid table side.

What would you have instead, given the current implications?
Keane and Crouch would work for me.

That's bollocks

Rage's opinions about Benitez (he should go) were shared by Sheikh, Rosco among many others

Rage was just too disliked and inflammatory to stay; he managed to upset even the most placid poster, and I'm fucking delighted the owners took my advice and simply excised his cancer from this site

A similar policy seems to have been implemented for Momo and Doc Rule, and that is also to be applauded (although at least Momo does *occasionally* know what he's on about and is funny. Occasionally.

You can add me to that list from the day Robbie Keane was signed!

This is fucking outrageous. I don't even know which thread I'm posting this in, this mightn't even be an 'Anti-Lucas' thread, I just randomly selected what I thought might be one from the fucking plethora of them being bandied about this forum.

I've criticised plenty of Liverpool players over time, probably to a greater extent than most. I seem to remember claiming to "hate Peter Crouch with every bone in my body" after the Benfica game a few years back, but I do not recall a more consistent fucking hate and slaughter campaign laid against one of our players than the one currently ramping up around Lucas.

It's absolutely fucking disgraceful. You'd think he pissed on the Hillsborough Memorial, or done an an Exclusive with The Lying Rag the way some of you are going on. "He's a cunt, and I wish he'd get injured" - not a one-off comment unfortunately, just the same regurgitated weekly bile. We're not talking about the worst player to ever play for us, nor are we even talking about the worst player in our current squad. This is a fucking South American kid playing week in, week out for one of the (supposedly) best teams in the World, and he's getting destroyed by his own supporters. As far as I'm aware he's never spat on opposition supporters, ridiculed our current manager, compalined to the press, cost us games, or been a royal cunt on the pitch. He's just a young player. And as far as I'm concerned, not even a bad one at that. But we'll get back to that bit later.

It's a fucking embarassment that he's been made the scapegoat for this season's malaise. Take Staurday's game for example; he played well, created chances, and had a decent game. We could compare his output to the laughably atrocious Riera or Agger during the 90 mins, but it would be futile. As Mark's already reiterated earlier - people had their judgements made before a ball was kicked. So "he fell over"... And fucking what? Is that worth the opprobrium? The ridicule? The mocking? What about the chance he created out of nothing in the second half by skipping past the full-back on the byline? What about the yet-again, almost perfect passing for 90 minutes? I'd say the lad has a better passing completion rate than any other player in our team. I wish a few more of our players had his ability not to fucking give the ball away every 5 seconds. (And if you like, I'll absolutely rubbish your "sideways passing" claims too. Just ask). But fuck it, he fell over. That's the sole excuse most of you needed to justify your incessant criticism. -Open Thread-

I fail to see the point in consistently calling one of our players "a cunt". In fact, I think it's fucking woeful. Accuse me of taking the moral highground all you wish. If you don't rate him, fine. Maybe you prefer the fucking hustle n bustle and eye-bulging theatrics of Mascherano, I really don't give a fuck. I do get fucked off when I log in and see the same player, the same kid busting his balls every week for us on the pitch, having to bear the brunt of frustration from a heap of people who should know better.

The fact you just admitted to openly stating that you hated Crouch who never gave less that 100% for LFC shows you are being a hypocrite here.

You don't want to admit you were wrong which is fine but how can you not understand everyone's frustration with Lucas.
It's been 2 and half years and simply is not good enough for the position he plays.

At least Croch scored and created goals. Lucas doesn't score and very rarely gets an assist. For a CM that is unacceptable.

Fucking hell.

"you don't want to admit you were wrong." - I JUST BROUGHT THE FUCKING THING UP.

I claimed in one moment of frustration to have "hated" Crouch. This Lucas shit is every week, from the same people, in 100 threads, is the most vitriolic I've ever see, and is blatant scape-goating.

Sense the bigger picture Dreamy.

So this forum is no different to any other LFC forum at the moment.

People obsessing about Lucas and the 'Anti Rafa' lot feeling pretty pleased with themselves.

Buenos dias, and no; I doubt they're feeling pleased with themselves.

Just the feeling i've got having read a few different forums recently, this sense of vindication some people are posting with in light of the struggles the team have been having.

Cant say it's the case on here cos i don't know the place that well yet.

Just like when you claim I should see the bigger picture when every single person disagrees with me, maybe you should see the bigger picture.

It is scape-goating but it doesn't hide the fact that for most he is the main area of the the team that is faltering at the moment. You've said youself Alonso's position is where we are lacking and that is exactly where Lucas is playing. I feel sorry for him as its not his fault. It's Rafa's. He picks the team and the formation and should not have expected Lucas to be able to do Alonso's job until bloody xmas.

For 15 games now we have seen our side fall fumble around in the dark looking for the lightswitch. Well at the moment we can't find the switch and even if we did I'd imagine there would be no lightbulb in the socket anyway. It's just been that kind of year for us.

Mascheranos been in out and of form up until the past few weeks, Gerrards been out injured, the same for Aquilani, so who could the manager have played instead of Lucas??

He's like Kuyt, the fucker never gets injured.
