At home to Villa when BR selected the wrong team, and away to West Brom when the players got ahead of themselves.

Don't underestimate the United game, it's going to be a test of character more than a test of form and ability. Consider the season's both teams have had, I can see tensions being very high, much more so than usual. Gerrard is going to be massive in this game, I also think Suarez will be out with a point to prove.

Looks like we have 18 more believers this morning!!

9 games to the promised land!!!

I can almost touch that perch

Same here, reckon its all going to come down to Chelsea where if we win then the title will be in our own hands.

It makes sense really it being Chelsea and Mourinho and a shoot out for the big prize, it seems like its mean't to be, just hope its the same outcome as it used to be v Mourinhos Chelsea.

The poll missed the trick with the 'never' option.

Goal difference could end up being a huge factor, we need to keep our foot on the pedal in that regard, we have eased off in a fair few games when 3/4 up, can't be doing that from now on in.

Anyone else think Spurs will be easier than Sunderland?

Spurs are a disaster at the back, they make us look solid, if we hit them with a couple of goals earlyish i can see it getting messy for them, they are the type of team that will blow up and throw the towel in.

Sunderland although they are in deep shit have proved capable of defending well against big teams, still think it will be a comfortable win though.

Every game will be a challenge as Cardiff showed.
We are going to have to be right on our game weds night
For all your blustering bravado about how we'll win the league, how we'll smash this team or the other, this is exactly right. No easy games. There may be a couple of games, like yesterday, where we can get away with a poor half hour. We've done very well to win these last 3 away games - we are definitely in the equation. The next 3 games will determine whether we go into a shootout for the title. Its tough on the nerves, but I love it, and each week am hoping that we can keep the dream alive another week.

I see Sherwood was spouting that he wants to 'spoil the party up at Anfield' after the Southampton game. I hope we party it up against his boys. I must say, Eriksen looks a threat for them in the same way Coutinho is for us (except he's obviously more of a goal threat too).

The way I look at it, Sunderland could be a problem simply cos we're not as used to playing twice in a week & Gerrard already looks a little jaded.

To counter that though, I think Sunderland will feel the only way they can beat us is to attack, which plays right into our hands.
Also, I wouldn't be massively surprised if Rodgers told the players to try to leave something in their locker & not go full pelt all 90 on Saturday.

Spurs have players that can trouble us. However they have played a lot of footy this season compared to us, they've not been playing well, & tactically Rodgers should run rings around sherwood.

The one thing that bothers me is that they won't seem to stop winning in the league, no matter how shite they are playing.

I can't think any further than that, no matter how tempted I am.

Well we're meant to be good at monitoring these things so Lucas should perhaps be introduced for Gerrard against Sunderland.

I can't wait to see Sterling against Spurs - he will be making all sorts of runs in behind. Gerrard at QB in that game should be fun to watch. Even Johnson was loving the long Hollywood balls on Saturday.

Soldado and Eriksen looked good yesterday, however two of Spurs goals were caused by comic defending by Southampton, and that line Spurs played first half was begging to be exploited. Sherwood wont line up against us like that, I think he'll be more cautious, hopefully we'll be able to dominate the possession and do what we do.

Anyway lets not look to far forward, Sunderland is going to be a tough game, I like Poyet, I hope he keeps Sunderland in the league, theyre in the thick of it at the moment and they'll be fighting for there lives. As this is our first home game since the title talk got really serious, the crowd should be frantic, and hopefully our quality on the pitch will be too much.

Sherwood is emotionally out of control. After a bad result, he's talking like a suicidal man. Then after a good result, he's talking like an egomaniac. He's such a unlikeable creature. When we're stomping his team 5-0 at Anfield, he might just strip off and run into the pitch and try to disrupt the game by pissing in his team's 6-yard box.

Scene, Anfield Away dressing room at HT in the Liverpool v Spurs fixture. Spurs are six-nil down.

SHERWOOD: I ain't gonna say naffing! NUFFINK!! [throws half-drained bottle of Tequila against wall, Lamela ducking just in time. Lamela begins to quake]

This is my facking team talk you bunch of cants. I just wantch yer to watch this. Right 'Arry, DO IT!!

[Sherwood rips his tops off and flings them at the wall as 'Arry', a man holding a tattoo gun, begins to ink T.F.H.C. in long, spindly, ill-formed letters across Sherwood's chest]

[Lamela faints]

DAWSON: [peering over Arry's shoulder] Tim, I fink the letters are the wrong way araand.

[Sherwood pushes 'Arry away, and crouches before Dawson. Lamela stirs, and looks hazily at the curled figure at Dawson's feet]

DAWSON: Watch-yer doing Tim?

[Sherwood springs up, uncoiling a massive uppercut that leaves Dawson sprawled across the middle of the dressing room, fully unconscious]

SHERWOOD: GAFFER!! Ya call me the facking GAFFER!! Next cant to call me facking Tim eats facking lead!

[Sherwood draws what looks like an old WWII service revolver from the small of his back]

[Lamela faints]

Eriksen chose them over us. Time to educate him and that other prick Sigurrdsson or whatever his fucking name is. Choose Spurs over Liverpool? Get to fuck.
I love how everyone thought we'd be in spurs position and they would be in ours.
Fucking wankers. I hope we humiliate them.

I don't think we went for Eriksen in the end.
