We shouldn't have sold Suarez

Worse than Brendan

I'm well aware he would have only played one game this season for us so he wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference to how our season has gone.

But if we didn't sell him we wouldn't have been able to sign all the players that have worsened the team all round.

Imagine how bad we'd be if Rodgers hadn't bought the Premiership proven Lallana, Lambert, Lovren , Balotelli ? Them not needing to settle has been our saviour.

Wanquillo and Moren-....oh - can't defend for toffee. It's no wonder our defence looks shit, we play with two defenders every game.

Markovic ? nothing but hype so far.

Rodgers has had lots of money. This is his team. And it's shite. And as he said himself about Spurs :
"If you spend £100m you should be winning the league."

Some of us did warn the forum last season was a one off, a number of things were in our favour that wouldn't be this season. I did expect some regression regardless of who we signed or sold but 15 points in eleven games is absolutely dreadful.

It won't be long before Rodgers will come under pressure to prove himself worthy of the new contract.

Fucking waste of space. Can a Mod delete this thread before Ross gets the bashing he deserves for starting it ?

*lets all ignore his buyout clause shall we*

oh shit..rosco has not posted for so long, i had forgotten his trollish traps.

i guess i fell for it, when i actually thought he was being serious with this thread.

While I wish we didn't have to sell Suarez I will reserve judgement on whether this season is entirely shit due to his absence until Sturridge is back and up to speed.
Without him we are totally toothless up front and it reminds me of how we played at the start of Rodgers first season in charge

Exactly we've reverted to being all possession and no threat.

but now with added fancy continental attacking full backs

Ok so this thread is about how poor our signings have been. Point taken, processed and filed under "tell me something I don't know".

if we had won he league maybe he would have stayed

You should rename this thread "Sack Brendan Rogers", because that's what you're thinking! You're saying he's misspent £100m, and in any other industry he would be fired!

Can looks quality that's about it for me.
So finally realizing the error of your ways regarding Suarez Ross?

Shit players or a manager who can't get the best out of them at present? Someone referred to us as the new Spurs at the start of the season. I laughed at the time...

Great to have you back Rosco - but you would have sold Suarez for £25 mil 3 seasons ago if it was up to you!

Agree with you about the summer signings though, an utter clusterfuck that will take years to pick apart

Rosco seeing the light re Suarez!

I wish he'd stay but unfortunately he wanted to leave.

It's a bit unfair to criticize the team which is practially playing without a single adequate forward. We had two super strikers last year who scored 52 goals between them. We have now 3 strikers who scored ZERO league goals between them in 11 games this seadon. That's quite a difference.
Last season our pkayers new that they had to pass the ball in the general direction of Suarez or Sturridge and a goal was on the cards. This season you have to put the ball exactly on Balotelli's or Lambert's foot, yet no goal...

Ignoring this major difference and saying that the new signings have worsened our team is not really fair nor is it well thought.

As for the new signings (since people seem to be writing all of them off):
Balotelly - we should have never signed this guy.
Lambert - not good enough.
Lovren and Lallana - I exoected more of these too, but I haven't given up yet.
The other 4 are all young promising players coming to a new demanding league, so writing them off so early is way too harsh.
