A teeny bit off topic if being strict, but I don't care.

The lad on top signs off on our multi million pound deals. Brendan got lucky with the teeth-capping, spray tan and liposuction, our Mr. Ayre will have his Choccy-Starfish waxed when the Lizards see that(assuming it's recent).

@StevieM

Some of best friends live in the city. Told them to head down to the Imperial. Are ye doing anything for the game?

I played under the Victory manager, and either with or against their entire team for years so can tell you a bit about them.

- Their side tonight isn't their best outfit. All of their best players have either just left for overseas, or are on International duty with Australia.
- They play good football when they have the ball. Typically Ange side - doesn't really give a fuck about defending, and likes his sides to get it down and play. I doubt they'll see much of it tonight cos the 11 they're putting out aren't great.
- There'll be goals tonight, and plenty of them. Ange will want them to attack.
- They don't have any great players. A few decent midfielders, completely shite front 3, and a couple of hackers at centre back.
- Players to look out for - Jimmy Jeggo in midfield. Young kid who can really play. I was up against him last year in midfield (friendly so I was playing out of position) and I didn't get a kick. He's got real ability.
- And this new kid Geria at right back.wing-back. Looks a player.
- Also, keep an eye out for Dylan Murnane. 19 y/o who'll be on the bench, but he played at the same club as me for the last 4 years and is a really decent kid. Hope he gets a game, he's a left-back.

We'll win this one about 5-1 is my bet.

We are generally shocking in pre season so can't see us getting any more than 3 but hopefully your prediction is right.

So what was it like to play for Ange ? Craig Johnson reckons he's "the best thing to happen to football " in australia

Erm, good and bad really. We had a shite side at the time, and he'd been out of the game for a year or two after his previous role managing some Greek side.

His training was excellent. 90% of coaches put on good sessions these days, but his were continually different, innovative, and game-related. That was his major plus.

Game-day I didn't think that much of him to be honest. He never changed a game (maybe because he didn't have good enough resources at his disposal to actually switch a game) but even at half-time he never conjured up anything that really good tacticians do to shift momentum.

He hardly ever shouted or ranted and raved, he was actually very quiet and only once did I see him lose it with a player. But, all in all, great on the training ground - didn't take any shit if you weren;t doing a drill correctly, but pretty meh on gameday.

Brendan Rodgers has made wholesale changes to the side that started against an Indonesia XI in Jakarta on Saturday - only Steven Gerrard, Glen Johnson and Jose Enrique retain their places in the line-up.
Meanwhile, Italian forward Fabio Borini will lead the Liverpool attack in the eagerly anticipated clash in Melbourne - which is available to watch live online with an LFC TV Online subscription.
The Reds team in full is: Jones, Johnson, Skrtel, Wisdom, Enrique, Gerrard, Allen, Henderson, Ibe, Sterling, Borini. Subs: Mignolet, Kelly, Coates, Agger, Flanagan, Spearing, Lucas, Downing, Alberto, Aspas, Suarez, Robinson, Assaidi.

That's a strong looking team to start. Wisdom starts at CB!!! I really hope Suarez comes on.

Will it be Ibe or Sterling starting on the left, or will the change during the game?

He's only figured at CB so far in preseason hasn't he? Seems pretty ominous, I hope he makes a go of it this season, he could save us a fortune.
