It takes years for news to get to Australia, they've just seen us win the double with Kenny. Watch them all jump ship to United in about 6 years time.
It's sort of like how metal bands draw enormous crowds in South America and Asia for me
As far as they're concerned, Liverpool and United are names they've heard for decades and will group them together forever. The club has historically had enough success domestically and abroad that the brand is popular worldwide, regardless of the actual club's success. Now give it another 10-20 years of mediocrity and there will be a visible decline, but as long as we can keep winning things every couple of years, and hopefully start competing in UCL we should be OK to that regard.
