Ahaa so someone did tell him to stick around and do the lap of honour...

No. He was signing autographs forms while afterwards - the gooners see this as him saying goodbye. It's amazing how we see what we want to see.

Stevie REALLY is chilled out. I haven't seen him this happy since he broke into the team. I don't know what this bodes for his performances, as he was brilliant when he was the most miserable little misanthrope on the planet, but it's nice to see.

Why the fuck did Suarez slap Sterling's hand when he came on? What a fucking hypocritical cunt - either you act like a stoppy bitey cunt 24-7 or you don't. Don't be like Cisse

I sense some kind of irony or sarcasm in your post, but I am not sure what you are trying to say. Suarez is actually a swell guy beneath the bitey exterior? Or perhaps you are saying that our notions of self and individuality are an illusion, and we are all just clusters of habits?

I dunno.

3 things:

1 - I'd bet every dollar I own that Suarez leaves. He is gone. Nothing is more certain.
2 - Ibe is gonna be a real player.
3 - that rendition of YNWA was magical.
Agreed, I've never seen a play give less of a shit or give the vibe of not wanting to be there more than Suarez did last night. He's gone.

Borini is poo.
The two wingers are going to be ace.
If I was forced to give an opinion right now, Aspas looks busy but not top quality. Better than Borini tho.
So far, we look like we've had another summer of adding quantity rather than quality.
Suarez is a grade-A cunt and I don't care who we sell him to as long as we get top dollar.
Don't bother re-developing Anfield, just pay for flights and hotels in Melbourne, the atmos is well better.
Lucas is back in the groove (running into the back of people and knocking them over).
I fear for our midfield.
Gerrard is a bona fide legend.

Every single person I spoke to at the game and afterwards said the same thing. He was warming up down in front of us, and I've NEVER seen any footballer give less of a fuck. He ambled around doing keepy-ups and only speaking to Coates. He clearly wanted to be elsewhere.

Then he came on the ground and wandered for 15 minutes, and looked to bolt the second the final whistle came.

His attitude is diabolical. The club, wrongly in my opinion, showed incredible support to him during the last 6 months, and this is how he's repaying them. Hand in a transfer request if you want out that badly, but he won't cos he's a selfish cunt. But more significantly, that attitude in front of supporters is an outright joke. 80% of that crowd cheered, chanted, and sang his name last night before he got on the pitch, and then gave him a rousing reception when he was brought on. He acknowledged fuck all, and then wanted out straight after the game.

It's hard to think he could be any more of a cunt, but he succeeded last night.

Some of you must have completely zero respect for the club if you want that cunt to stay.

Not just his attitude to the supporters but his team mates also. Aspas, at a new club, bags a goal. Suarez couldn't look any more disinterested. Regardless of your gripe (and for the life of me I can't see what the club has done to warrant such a shitty attitude) he could at least show some support to a new player.

Ahaa so someone did tell him to stick around and do the lap of honour...
Nah. The lap of honour wasn't for like 30 mins after the final whistle.

There was a trophy presentation and a couple of speeches.

I was actually pretty disgusted with our fans. They booed every Victory players name before kick off and booed during their players entire interview over the loud speaker.

What a massive thundercunt. I had to dash off somewhere for the second half and I hadn't seen any of that but fuck's sake. I'd facepencil the rancid little shiteater for that bullshit.

The world doesn't stop and start for him and nearly a hundred thousand people had just turned up to idolize and pay his wages.

I hope his fucking plane crashes

Just watching the game and hats off to the crowd. That YNWA was brilliant. It's things like that that make you realise the likes of Suarez aren't worth worrying about. The club will still be there long after he's gone.
It was amazing (I'll try and upload my recording later albeit my voice is shocking!!)

However the rest of the game was sh*t for chants. Bar a few thousand nobody could sing anything bar. Liverpool, Liverpool over and over and it became annoying pretty quickly.

The biggest cheers outside the goals were when Stevie went to take a corner and when people chanted for Suarez after 65 mins but overall I was disappointed considering the stadium was 95% reds

..and they wind up on an island, weird shit happen and I stop being interested after the 2nd season.

Still sounds like a vast improvement on the atmosphere at Anfield.

He did wave to the crowd where I was sitting during the lap of honour and was chatting away to Aspas the entire time but overall he was completely alien to the player I've watched for the last 2 years.

Annoying as even being a stroppy cnut he was head and shoulders above the rest in terms of creating chances when he came on and wasn't a bit greedy.

Ibe was easily the best of an awful bunch for the first 70 mins. He looked strong, quick, direct with some tricks, a good touch and great vision for someone so young. He also always looked to pass it to a team mate when in trouble even if it meant going backwards instead of running down a blind ally like Sterling (who was shite)

Allen was muck too which was disappoint.
GlenJo rubbish
Enrique Got caught outto often to easily by a sub standard A league player
Wisdom looked assured and had 1 bone crunching tackle in the 1st half that was superb.
Skrtel looked match fit which was good to see (perhaps he'll stay.
Henderson at least tried and put in a shift with little end product
Borini runs intelligently but for me thats all he's got and should be shipped out. His touch and strength is awful.

We looked horribly disjointed through the middle and made it very simply for Victory to close us down and minimise space and even when space opened up across the pitch we switched play at such a snails pace they were able to regroup.

All in all a very poor showing considering how many first teamers we started with.

Finally Alberto looked like he had zero potential from the 18 mins he was on. Barely moved (he has no pace) and gave the ball away with hurried 1st time passes.

Ha I guess I'm blessed most games I've been to Anfield have been superb atmosphere. I just expected better as for many reds it was there 1st and possibly only game to see us live.

Every single time the fans behind the goal started Steve Gerrard Gerrard, it wouldn't even make the first verse.I just sang along on my own on the top tier (my voice is gone today)

Yup.

That YNWA at the start of the game was fucking unreal and 95,000 people attending a friendly match(even in a massive country like Australia) is mighty impressive.

Sometimes you forgot just how huge Liverpool FC is!

I have a feeling he realizes he's now in his final two seasons of football and wants to relish the atmosphere and mood before he hangs 'em up for good.

As good as the crowd was, the Indonesian fans still beat the Australians in my opinion.

I think the Thais might give the Indonesians a good contest though.

Do you still "desperately want Suarez to stay" Dreamy?
Yes, he's the best player in the league, and even sulking and being a moany bitch last night he was the best attacking threat (besides Gerrard) for the 18 mins he was on by far. He created a goal and created 2 other good chances that were spurned.

If anything the first 72 mins showed me how badly we need him to stay.

No love for Aspas? 2 in 2 (friendlies) but looks pretty sharp on and off the ball.

Can see him getting a few goals this coming season.

Alberto looks a bit damp to me but its early days and its folly to judge a player off the back of modern pre season. Having said that Ibe looks monstrous!

I like the look of Aspas. Good on the ball, and links well with others.

Not so sure about ole Jonjo Alberto though. Wandering around in the number 10 role like a lost fucking sheep.

He was nothing short of what I expected. He moved well had good feet and scored a tap in. Hard to judge considering the opposition
