United post-match

We played awful. The opposition had nothing to do with misplaced passes galore, a total lack of creativity and just the one shot on target (from only 7 anyway).

To say nothing of the fact their preparations and plans were reduced to ashes by 3 subs and an injury to Rashford, who was forced to stay on, and yet they still had the best chances.

We didn't play the team that had those results we played a team without a handful of their best players.

I've given credit where it was due, defence, but in attack and midfield creativity that was a horrendous performance and nowhere near what you call 'average'.

I haven't read any match reports or seen any commentator's videos but I can guarantee they will say a massive missed opportunity.

'F*****g hell, what a s*** game': Jurgen Klopp

Way over the top. We looked quite good until the game came to a halt with their multiple injuries and Firmino limping off. As for their substitutions reducing their chances 'to ashes,' far from it: I thought Sanchez gave them a new dimension, worked really hard and practically single-handedly pressed and closed us down in some areas of the pitch, while their other two subs arguably improved them rather than weakened them. The changes did indeed seem to confuse us to a ridiculous extent, and it's true we were bereft of good ideas in the second half. But Bob Paisley's sides had games like that, and they took the point and moved on. The real test now is how we respond.

Id disagree with a few of those but not by much, a 3 for Wjinaldum is ridiculous though. He was miles better than that. In a game where all we really did was recycle posession he looked our most composed player on the ball.

Our strategy didnt seem to be based on him driving through the middle and leaving a gap, you dont pick a midfield of Wjinaldum Fabinho and Henderson to tear into the opposition, they were there to control the ball and strangle posession from Pogna, which was pretty effectics. Going forward it was more about exploiting their lack of cover in wide areas and getting the fullbacks in behind. Which is why Milner was so disappointing, his distribution totally let us down from a number of good positions which we had clearly worked on. I think Trent would have made us much more dangerous pushing on but Klopp clearly didnt trust him, on the opposite flank Robbo is starting to look a bit leggy, hes not bursting past players on the overlap as frequently lately.
Yeah I may have been over critical of Gini. He's been in such great form I expected more against two academy graduates.

Fair enough, it's not exactly surprising though if he had, and froggys ratings are laughable. Keita would have made a difference, the lad with no goals or barely any assists?
With your ability to twist anything to your narrow vision and ignore anything that doesn't suit your rhetoric you would do well to consider a career in politics.

Yeah, he was sort of OK, better than average, like. But while McTominay was actually very good, and Pogba worked hard to keep us out too, it's not unreasonable to expect a bit more from both him and Hendo, especially creatively, but there was fuck all.

A bit rich, seeing as you're very manipulative in your own use of words. Do you dismiss TAA as 'an academy graduate'.

They just drew against Chelsea, and Chelsea are shit. They were lucky against Schalke, and Schalke are shit. They just lost their most important player. They're gonna drop points.

I'm a pessimistic fanny though, mind.

Im sure they will, and I agree. But your ratings are a joke.

See if you can find ANYONE on ANY paper or ANY media outlet or ANY website ANYWHERE in the world who rated Gini a 3 or Sturridge a 2 or Mane a 3
Thats just fucking embarrassing.

I dont give a shit like, just amusingly bombastic and tragic.
Hmm let's see what you have to say about Brendan's then.. Seeing as they are not much higher than mine (Gini aside and I admit I was overly critical there due to having higher expectations on his current form). 😉

TAA is rather more experienced though wouldn't you say?

Not by much. You clearly say 'academy graduate' to imply a player is crap, and you don't use it when you don't want to imply they're crap, then you accuse others of twisting words and meanings as if you're George Orwell having a hot flush.

No I use academy graduates to imply inexperienced - if you read and defined that as meaning 'crap' then there wouldn't be any good players.. ever!

As a matter of interest (not sure how many were starts) :

TAA : 44 games
Mctominay : 24 games
Pereira : 13 games

You know what you were trying to do. And, wow, twenty fewer games! What a chasm.

I'm not sure why this is turning into a semantic discussion about academy graduates/ inexperience/ quality - Lingard is one too - but there's little fucking doubt that Wijnaldum, Henderson and Fabinho (as well as the entirety of our support) should have been licking their fucking lips at the prospect of United losing Matic before kick-off and Herrera soon after, leaving the hugely inexperienced duo of Perreira and McTominay in midfield, neither of whom were supposed to start this game.

AND WE STILL COULDN'T WIN.

No. I know how you (incorrectly) interpreted it. And 20 games for a young player is virtually a season (and a ton of tough CL games) so yes it is a big difference. A bit part player or an established first teamer.

Nope, you were found out being a hypocrite and you don't like it. Carry on being a wum, I'm not interested in your tiresome games.

I think it's unreasonable, just from recent experience. They're among the least creative midfielders in the division and they are in some mighty fine company, in saying that.

Manchester United 0 Liverpool 0: The Match Ratings

That is some save. I mean, how many times have you seen The Reds do alright at Old Trafford and then some bellend wafts past your ‘keeper and slots? That is a brilliant save. Brilliant.
Andy Robbo: 7
I reckon he might be a T100 there, you know. I mean, Lukaku fell on him from the top rope like the fucking Big Show and landed on his outstretched arm. A normal exoskeleton is decimated there. It’s the law of fucking physics. The first one.
Joel: 7
Front-foot defending was pretty good first half. Fucking slotted that one, didn’t he? Reckon he knew it was off.
Virgil: 7
The danger never entered his red zone aside from the Lukaku through ball. I reckon that happens cause Virgil doesn’t believe he has got that in his arse pocket.
Milner: 6
Twatted it out a lot first half, didn’t he? The Reds were set up to get him on the ball in the final third and he twatted it out a lot. Bit of a blow.
Henderson: 7
Think that’s a poor decision to take him off, if I’m honest. Thought he was one of the only ones on the pitch trying to keep the ball when every other cunt wanted to bladder a through ball because we needed to score NOW.
Fabinho: 8
Reckon he’s The Reds’ best player. Kept trying to get them playing, when every other cunt wanted to bladder a through ball because we needed to score NOW. Won some belter headers first 20.
Gini: 7
Impressive first half when he kept hold of the ball. Not so much second half when he disappeared. Looked fucking knackered, in fairness, before Hendo got took off.
Mo: 4
Shite today. No way round it. Offered nothing as an attacking threat.
Sadio: 4
Couldn’t pass the fucking thing five yards second half. Literally five yards. Time and again. Just pass that fucker five yards lad, and The Reds are in. I’m not sure Liverpool could play any worse second half and I’m saying the forwards are mostly at fault, and the eager cunts who wanted to treat it to them.
Firmino: 8
Giving him an eight because The Reds were relatively good when he was on and absolute dog shite when he wasn’t. Get yourself some of them horse blood injections that Michael Owen had, lad. Be back for Wednesday.
SUBS
Sturridge: 3

Not sure he is worth a carrot anymore. Think the decision is made at a time when we needed composure, hence he comes on. Flirted and floated and fannied around the pitch to zero effect. Shite.
Div:
Legged it.
Them:
It’s mad the way Alex Sanchez is still bouncing around, isn’t it? Looks like he couldn’t be arsed going the shop there so ate one week of his £365,000 wage in pound coins. Or maybe that bulldog he used to bounce around with. Just ate that little cunt whole.

btw I thought Gini was one of our better players, problem is our midfield lacked directness someone who could carry the ball forward, a Keita maybe.

Or maybe that bulldog he used to bounce around with. Just ate that little cunt whole...

That made me laugh

Here we have the definition of bombastic : someone who deems their opinion of what was said to be the only possible correct interpretation even in the face of a definition from the owner.

It sucks that we couldn't win that game when we were clearly the better side, but we went to Old Toilet second place in the table, didn't concede, and are top now.

See. That’s the attitude of perennial underachievers. Winners won't say these things to comfort themselves.

That's what mediocrity does to people. It lulls you into thinking average is good, when it's the enemy of it.

If we don't win the title we've only got ourselves to blame for. And no Stevie G this time either.

Not sure if this has been posted, but this is really disrespectful from Hendo. Fine, dont agree with the sub but support your teammate who is coming on.
