Yes and No.

Yes because he ended up giving his near post away when he really should he spread his body a bit better.... but no because the space rose had, if he doesn't come out rose has time to touch and give himself a better angle to shoot on goal, mig had to close the space down but in doing so he didn't cover himself well.

If we had Hart in goal we win.

Ming is shite as we all agree on here, but don't think you can say having Hart in goal automatically means we'd have won. You have to question the defending that firstly allowed Dier to cross, missing the header and then clyne getting sucked in before even getting to Ming. By your method we could say, had coutinho wore the correct boots we should have won.

Much the better side in second half...Really?? They were improved but bollocks were they much the better side.
The stats show we were both equal.

We weren't clinical, they weren't clinical

Both teams had spells of good pressure

Ah well

No mate, read again. I said that Klopp has neutered him because we are lacking in Centre Mid.

Yeah I get what you're saying, he's playing a more disciplined role...

But that doesn't mean his passing and his touch would suddenly become erratic. It doesn't mean he'd look suddenly toothless and ordinary.

It's early days, three games in, but I can only judge on what I've seen so far and that needs to improve dramatically.

On what he's shown so far, is he good enough to stay in that position when Can is fit? No. Is he good enough to occupy one of the positions further forward in place of Coutinho, Mane, Lallana or Firmino? No.

I don't get him.

Well I didn't say that. Read my most recent post.

I know you didn't, I was just taking the piss out of the fact that you've labelled him a dud after how many minutes on the pitch for us? I'm sure you won't be the only one either. It's crazy. Give him at least a season.

Was there for the taking. I would be fine with 4 points after 3 away games usually but Spurs were out of sorts and we should have won that. Im still fucking hurting about Burnley!

Which is probably why we bought Karius. Simon will be back up most of the season I'm sure.

Yeah and i was a bit disappointed by him coming instead of Sturridge too.

Sturridge isn't, wasn't and will never be a 'Klopp player'.

His shit attitude, perma-sulking and moaning is why Klopp doesn't play him more often. He wants team players, not ones who are up their own arses most of the time. Yes, he's our best finisher IF he decides to show up and isn't injured. Which isn't too often.

No repercussions for that sneaky knee Alli planted onto Firmino? Golden boy becomes a major cunt when things are not going his way.

Pochettino's attitude towards Klopp is interesting. He seems to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Maybe he's anxious to avoid being seen as a Klopp copycat, which is surely what he is, but he's strained for ways to dismiss his rival in interviews. Last season his argument was that Klopp had changed the system but his players probably wouldn't be able to make it work. This season he's said that Klopp's team plays 'exactly the same system as Brendan Rodgers' team' which is nonsense. Yesterday I thought the major contrast was between an LFC team that is still trying to find the rights combination to utilise the attacking flair it potentially has, and a Spurs side that seems a bit lacking in new ideas as well as jaded after the exertions of last season.

I completely agree with this. His sulking is something I've noticed more and more.

They kept the camera on him for a good whole minute at the end of the match showing him talking/whispering to Rose. Rose was just listening, looking like he doesn't know what to respond. The commentators started insinuating studge is complaining about something. The witch hunt is really on.

I foresee him being sold by next season.

Like a lot of strikers, he thinks if he scores a goal it makes up for 89 minutes'-worth of anonymity. And of course, in certain big games, it does, if the team wins. But a manager can't afford to accommodate a player like that on a regular basis. I'd have more sympathy with Sturridge if he seemed even a little concerned to become a team player, but if anything he's gone even further the other way. And instead of realising that he's now got a manager who is one of the best in the world and is eminently capable of improving him, he's sulking around like a schoolboy. He's not some World Cup winning superstar. He's just one of the wimps who couldn't make an impact against Iceland. Have you not heard of the word 'contrition,' Daniel? Look it up in your Bible, I'm sure it's in there somewhere. The amount of time, money and effort this club has put into trying to get him fit, and the chance he was given to finally show what he can do after previous clubs snubbed him, he owes LFC big time, not the other way around, and frankly I'm sick to death with his 'poor me' attitude. He should get his head down and work, or shut up and leave. But at the very least he needs to show a damn sight more respect to his teammates as well as his manager.

The bottom line is the team has moved on in the last 18 months. At times it doesn't feel like it because the results don't seem to have changed all that much but now we're not completely stunted in the absence of Sturridge. He's not the be all and end all of this Liverpool attack any more.

That being said, if he could keep fit and perform like the Sturridge we remember rather than the Sturridge we've seen in the last 6 months, he'd be in the side whether he worked hard or not.

It feels like that doesn't get the focus it deserves - Sturridge has looked one paced and a little bit meh since he's come back.

And still he feels he should be the first player on the team sheet.

I agree with everything being said about Sturridge. I mean that stubborn head on him is just right for a good slap. But come on, bringing him on in the 88th minute. Is that the actual slap?

If Origi is a Klopp player, then I'm not sure how successful we're going to be under Klopp

He's doing well keeping up with the banter panther Kamara.
Although he has the David Blaine trick going on where his voice puts his face asleep.

What did he develop into ?

The player who was shite yesterday ?

The player struggling with an injury over the first 3 games, or the player who looked unplayable last season against United, Dortmund, Everton etc.

He's a good player. I know you're a big Sturridge fan, but I don't Origi is part of the related problem.

Exactly this. Still only 21 aswell and will develop into a very good player.
