There is a point. At this moment in time Rodgers is under the impression Origi is one of the best young strikers around who will go on to be world class. If we wait until next season to bring him in, it will result in yet another year of pain as Rodgers realises for the fifth odd time that he fucked it up. Season wasted. And then we go again in 2016.
If you pay the millions to bring him now for six months we can get it over and done with during a season which is already wasted. Then go into next season with fresh hope rather than a fools hope.

You have a point...but on the other hand we could buy us a good striker in January who then, of course, becomes shit and we can go back (again) and hope for the (Liverpool mantra) "next season".
He's been playing out wide a lot though, and he's 19. A bit early to judge his goalscorer skills imho. He has every attribute to be a cracking player.
