Another thing is... If Chelsea hit the same form they won the title with last season, they'd finish on 70 points. Last season you needed 70 to finish fourth.

14 games, 15 points
Last season, 38 games 87 points
87 / 38 * 24 (games left) = 55 + 15 = 70.

And they don't look like hitting championship winning form. We can write them off for fourth.
Discoubting Chelsea is crazy talk. More than capable of going on a sustained run and this season is tighter than it has been for an age.

I don't know if we can continue to win 3 games a week with our pressing style but today's win was huge with everyone above us dropping points

So taking candy from a baby actually had you at $52 if we hasn't won 1-0?
Well no Dreamy because I live in the UK and we deal in pound sterling not Aus Dollar. Also to me it seemed like a pretty obvious score line given our record at Anfield and our clean sheet record. Simples.

We won't win the league. But we can certainly get top four. And even that won't be easy. I'm all for some über optimism after a win, but winning the title ain't gonna happen, not this year at least.
What's important though is that things are going very nicely in the right direction. Long any they continue to do so.

Ha don't have the pound symbol on this keyboard and couldn't be bothered copying and pasting.

Serious. Look at everyone else. They're all shite.

Look at who are above us...

1) Man City. We just fucked them 4-1 away. A load of shite
2) Leicester. They're having a good run, it won't last, because in real life they're a load of shite
3) Man U. The most turgid, backward, shitward, fuckwad load of shite side they've had for thirty years.
4) Arsenal. Shithouses. They fall apart every March, and Sanchez just done his hamstring. Load of shite
5) Spurs. Surely I don't need to explain why they're a load of shite.

We're gonna win the league.

I couldn't stop laughing after reading those 5 VERY ACCURATE points. We really cannot afford to not be title contenders in this season - we really do have a good chance and I actually think we have players that make us more balanced as a team than any of the shit above us. Love the 2nd point - "Because in real life they're a load of shite" LOL LOL !!!! Even if we don't win the title this season - I really really want to give Man U a big fucking pasting when they come to our place - that team of their's is so shit both in terms of how they play and their boring shite players - I really feel like we should put 10 past them or something just to prove a point.

Also - don't think we have wait for March for Arsenal to fall apart - they have already started.

I think what is saying is that had it not been for today's bet, you would only have £52 left from your original £100 stake.

So you've actually been making a loss this season before today. So it's not actually that easy is it 🙂

MOTD2 - anyone else watching ? - seemed to be very critical of us and our approach to our game today. Can taking some stick for not moving forward enough.

Oh I see - Sometimes it's hard to cut through the grammar. I guess he has a point then.

@Dreambeliever - I now see your point. 😎

Yes I saw MOTD2. I thought Ruud Gullit made some useful points. It was obvious at the game that we were passing sideways far too much, and Gullit pointed out that Can was one of the main culprits. According to Gullit, in the role he had adopted, Can made himself an unnecessary part of the crossfield passing routine and should have pushed forward more as he did against Manchester City.

Could have been under instruction though.

I think it probably was under instruction, with Lucas being unavailable. But Can didn't seem to be doing the same job as Lucas. As Ruud Gullit pointed out, he was just an unnecessary middleman in the crossfield passing.

I fell asleep around the 60 minute mark...just as well...it didnt look like there were going to be any more goals.

Lucas was quite impressive...the silent hero behind the result.

To be honest - I thought Gullit was harsh and dumb with his comments about Can. I feel a little like Robbie Savage criticising a legend - I mean he's Gullit and I'm just me who can poach a good egg and has on occasion bowled a 7-10 split. Of course he was under instruction. He was used as a utility player because he was the best we could put there. He did his job - Just. He still did it though. When Lucas is back he'll be moved further forward.

Interesting that Allen didn't even get a look in.

I thought Can was very good. Swansea were very quick on the counter and there were a few instances where Can had to step in to win the ball or we will be in some trouble.

We got the win and a clean sheet in a very tough week and Can was an important part of it. What's the problem Gullit?

I'm not convinced about the future of Allen. He's a good player. But for a small player to survive in the Premier League, he has to be better than good - he has to be a fucking genius!
The Welsh Xabi! Honestly! I'm not sure if BR actually said that but it is absurd if he did. He's good and I don't particularly dislike the guy. I just don't really see the point of him in this team.
