Liverpool have reportedly made an incredible £158m bid for Real Madrid's young attacking midfielder Marco Asensio.
The 22-year-old is one of the most highly regarded young players in Europe, having contributed 11 goals and six assists in his second full season at the Bernabeu.
The Spain international re-signed with Madrid in September, extending his deal to 2023 with a reported £613m release clause.
But Liverpool have not been put off by that, with Mundo Deportivo reporting they have made a sensational offer to bring Asensio to Anfield.
The Spanish outlet claims the Reds like Asensio ‘very much’ and are willing to go all out to secure his services.
They also say that while Los Blancos will ‘reject the offer in principle’, they be forced to ‘study’ it.

Sounds like a bollocks story coming from Madrid aimed simply to make further bollocks stories about Salah going the other way seem a little more credible & create that inevitable cascade of stories & pressure through the media that they love so much.
