Papiss Cisse is the joint-quickest Newcastle player in PL history to reach five goals (six games, same as Les Ferdinand).

Stéphane Sessegnon has scored or assisted nine goals for Sunderland in his last 12 appearances in the Premier League.

Emmanuel Adebayor is the only player in the 2011-12 Premier League with double figures for goals (11) & assists (11).

Since August 2009, Vermaelen has scored more Premier League goals than any other defender in the top flight (12).

Jordan Rhodes has broken the post-war goalscoring record for Huddersfield Town with his 35th goal of the season.

Arsenal have won 6 league games in a row for the 1st time since March 2010. They haven’t won 7 on the bounce since October 2007.

229 – Liverpool have fired in more shots off target than any other team in the Premier League.

If the Premier League had started on January 1st, Liverpool would be 18th with 8 points (19 QPR 8pts, 20 Wolves 5pts).

Luis Suarez has won more penalties (4) than any other player this season in the PL. 3 of the 4 penalties Suarez has won have been missed by Liverpool.

Liverpool's chance conversion rate stands at 9.1%. Only Wigan have a lower chance conversion rate in the League (8.4%).

agger and gerrard can't or rather shouldn't be relied on, their injury records dictates that the team shouldn't be build around them.
for me that's why it's really disappointing kenny isn't using coates right now to prepare for the next time agger is out injured again and the same applies to a lesser extent with jonjo.

If LFC lose 2moro they will be in their worst position after 30 games since 92/93 (16th, 36pts). Only comparable season is 98/99, 8th/39pts

LFC have the worst home record since they were relegated in 1953.

Liverpool's win percentage with Agger in the team - 40%; without Agger - 22,2%

Are you making the argument for Kenny to be sacked. 😉

To quote Rafa, these are facts. 😛

Liverpool have lost only 16.6% of league matches this season where Lucas played. And, 52.9% of league matches where he didn't.

Liverpool's win record with Carra in StartingXI: 33%; 4 clean sheets. Liverpool's win record with Agger in StartingXI: 40%; 8 clean sheets.

With Daniel Agger on the pitch we concede every 109. minute, without him every 59. minute.

Between 2007/08 and 2010/11 seasons, Doni has kept clean sheets in 39% of matches, as compared to Reina's 45% or J. Hart's 33%.

Last year LFC scored a goal every 61 minute, this year LFC score a goal every 79 minute.

35.48% - Liverpool's win percentage in 2011/2012 season, compared to last season 44.74%.

Sir Alex's first season with United after 31 games: 58 points, No trophies. Kenny's: 42 points, League Cup winners + FA Cup semi.

Apparently the Liverpool player who has made the most tackles this season is Lucas.

While playing together at Ajax, Luis Suarez and Klaas Jan Huntelaar scored 68 goals in 52 matches. Huntelaar has 41 goals and 13 assists in 41 games for Schalke 04 so far this season. He's out of contract in 2013 and can leave for a fixed fee of €20 million ($26M) in the summer.

Pepe Reina's suspension today means that his run of successive Premier League appearances ends at 183.

Damn, that's such a shame. Was the last game he missed when he got sent off against Chelsea?

He missed a 2-1 defeat at Portsmouth on 28 Apr 2007.

Portsmouth moved into the qualification places for the Uefa Cup after a win over a weakened Liverpool side. Liverpool had left Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Daniel Agger, Peter Crouch, Pepe Reina and Javier Mascherano on Merseyside.

The Reds clearly had their eyes on the Champions League semi-final, second leg against Chelsea on Tuesday and the replacement were found wanting.

Today alone we hit the post 3 times, the last of which we finally score.

Liverpool have now hit the woodwork 28 times in the Premier League this season – nine more times than any other team.

8 - The number of times Luis Suàrez has hit the woodwork this season. No player have had that ammount for 12 years.

Luis Suárez has completed 59 dribbles this season (most at LFC). It's also, more than Ronaldo, Nani, Rooney or Iniesta.

José Enrique has completed 52 dribbles this season, that's the most dribbles by a defender in all the top 5 european leagues.

If all the woodwork hits in Liverpool's PL games this season had gone in they'd have an additional 13 points.

that would make us equal on points with chelsea who are 5th

Suarez header that hit the post and Givens save on the line made me think of a voodoo curse tbh......

I was listening to a radio article recently which talked about luck and how sport people in particular like to dismiss luck as having any bearing on their performances, as to acknowledge it would some how undermine their preparations and their successes.
The old adage about luck in football evening out over the course of a season doesn't seem to hold true for us this season and we just can't seem to catch a break.
Maybe we will only get good luck next season🙂

Yeah, I was saying this after 8-9 games into the season. But after 32 games and still hitting the woodwork its just madness.
Albeit its also poor finishing of course. But Suarez header yesterday was excellent. The same can be said for countless of penalty claims.
Suarez reputation sadly is tainted with some refs now, and another player would have got a penalty.

Good teams make their own luck, and we're not quit there yet

I have an idea. Make the anfield goal posts taller and wider by an unnoticeable but legal half an inch. Sorted.

#LFC Clear Cut Chances Tracker: 32 games: 21/72 (29%) .
Opposition: 19/39 (49%).
PL average 38%.

So we don't take our chances and our opponents have been more clinical against us than against each other. I think we all knew that, but why do they score so many against us? Is that just a luck thing or a Pepe thing?
