Only 13 Premier League players have made more tackles than @LucasLeiva87 this seasons despite being out since November.

Lucas Leiva has still made the most tackles for Liverpool this season despite being out since November.

Liverpool hadn’t appeared at Wembley for 16 years, but will be appearing at Wembley 3 times within 10 weeks in 2012.

After waiting one year for a headed goal, Andy Carroll scores two headers in the space of five days.

Liverpool have been caught offside 113 times this season, more then any other team in the league.

Last year Liverpool made 23 defensive error's compared to this season's 13. 156 mins per error last year, 241 this year.

anyone know if lucas has started light training yet?
Lucas is walking without crutches and he's doing rehab work but I don't think he's anywhere near ready to train full time with the rest of the squad. (Source: pictures and posts on rawk)
He's not gonna be back until next season, don't think we'll risk it.

Liverpool have now hit the woodwork 30 times in the PL this season, more than any other side in a full season since 2000.

Swansea City's debut Premier League season has certainly kept the statisticians busy.

While Leon Britton's 100% passing accuracy during the home win over Bolton last October got the stattos drooling, Angel Rangel and Ashley Williams are also leading the way.

Right-back Rangel has made more touches in the top flight this season (3,088) than anyone else while no other player has attempted more passes (2,414) than centre-back Williams.

And, following his performance in last weekend's draw with Bolton, Allen joins Britton on the pedestal after recording a perfect 54 passes at the Reebok.

"It was a big of a surprise until Britts mentioned it to me in training," revealed Allen. "It's an interesting stat.

"He's already done it - ironically against Bolton earlier in the season - so I had to make sure I matched it.

"But you look at the players around me and they make it easier as they want the ball off me and I can let them do the magic.

"Maybe it's a stat that would have looked better if we had gone on to win the game.

"But it certainly shows that as a team we are on the same wavelength. That's the beauty of our team - we know what to expect from each other and we will always have options on the ball.

"We have had some criticism about passing for passing's sake, but we created a lot of chances at Bolton and that shows how effective our approach is."

The second highest percentage of goals conceded due to individual errors in Europe belongs to Arsenal. The 12 goals that they have conceded due to mistakes is the most across the top 5 leagues, and having conceded 43 in total, 28% of their goals against tally were easily preventable.

It is fair to say that much of the Gunners woes came in the early part of the season, but inconsistency has been a feature, to some extent, throughout the campaign. The lack of consistency in their centre-back partnership is perhaps the biggest factor. Thomas Vermaelen and Per Mertesacker have both made 2 errors leading to goals, though keeper Szczesny has been more culpable, making 3 costly errors.

Arsenal are only marginally worse in this regard than Liverpool and Chelsea (24%) who rank 3rd and 4th bottom in Europe respectively, while league leading United don't fare much better, with 19% of their goals against coming courtesy of player slip-ups.

The best record in England is held by West Brom, with only 2 of their 47 goals against (4%) down to defensive mistakes in comparison; a factor which may lead to a top half finish, with the Baggies just one point behind Liverpool.

Juve break Inter's all-time Serie A record (2004/05) of 38 unbeaten matches in all competitions from season start. Juve's streak is now 39.

Bought Charlie Adam, Hendo, Downing, Carrol,Enrique.. Star players from clubs that finished below us last term. The one stat i want to see is the effect of bringing in players from clubs lower in the league table!

Defoe's got 10? that's pretty good going since he's been on the bench the majority of the season.

I though RVP is the top scorer and he is not even on that list?

In the past 2 seasons, Huntelaar has scored 37 league goals for Schalke, none of which have been from outside the box.
