Re: Re: Stats, stats and more stats

Two good stats for us.

Liverpool has never lost a home leg in the Semis in the Legaue cup in 13 Semi finals.

Liverpool have never lost a two legged match after winning away the first game.
[/quote]

I hate these stats and wished i never knew them. They are there to broken and the longer it goes the more likely it is to be broken.

9 – Mourinho has lost four more games against Barcelona than any other side (Liverpool, five).

24 - Liverpool have only lost one of their last 24 home games in all competitions, winning 13 and drawing 10.

Liverpool, Barcelona: Had the joint highest proportion of their possession in the attacking third (32%) this season in the top 5 leagues

@optajoe: 497 - Liverpool have made the most crosses in open play in the PL this season, but are the only side yet to score a goal from one. Wasted

I distinctly remember Adam crossing in for a Suarez winner against someone this season.

It was QPR. Sloppy Joe.

It was a set piece, but Adam didnt take it, he received it from someone and then crossed I think. If it was direct from a set piece the QPR defenders deserves a round of physical abuse for the defending!! 🙂

Binny have we lost less games than any other team in all comps this season?
I can only think of Spurs, Fulham, Bolton and Stoke in all comps.

How about City, United and Spurs?

Man Utd lost 5 in 33 matches (15.2%)
Man City lost 6 in 34 matches (17.6%)
Tottenham lost 6 in 33 matches (18.2%)
Arsenal lost 10 in 35 matches (28.6%)
Liverpool lost 5 in 30 matches (16.7%)

Other than Dirk Kuyt, only four other players (Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres) have scored 50 Premier League goals for Liverpool.

Both Agger and Skrtel have 8 each. Hopefully one of them will succeed Sami as the goalscoring centreback.

5 - José Reina has set up the most goalscoring chances in the Premier League this season (goalkeepers only).

47 - Only S Wright-Phillips (48) has had more shots without scoring in the PL this season than Stewart Downing.

9 – Andy Carroll, Grant Holt & Clint Dempsey have the joint-most headers on target this season.

Andy Carroll now has 5 goals in 1672 PL mins for LFC. Torres has 3 in 1779 PL mins for CFC

RvP has scored the most goals in the PL this season, but on 'mins per goal' then Bellamy isn't far behind (100 vs 122)

For the short time we had him Torres record is remarkable 65 goals in 102 games over 4 years, just imagine if he had turned in another 25 appearances................cunt

No way does Skrtel have 8 goals for us. 3 or 4 i think.

For the Serie A followers:

Inter Milan is now six points away from a Champions League spot, which is not too bad when considering the nine defeats this season.

Nine defeats in a single season; something that has not been seen for years in the "Casa Nerazzurri". Last year – one that was also a troubled one – ended with eight defeats, and to find that many losses in 23 matches one must go back to the 1946/47 season in which there were 15 total and Inter finished in tenth place.

The alarm bell began sounding after the defeat to Napoli in the Coppa Italia; including that loss there have been four in the last five games, with the only draw being the outrageous 4-4 against Palermo. The Nerazzurri have not scored in the last 180 minutes, but have allowed ten goals in their last four matches; 30 this season, for an average of 1.3 per match. Things have not gone this badly since 1999.

They have eight points less in the standings compared to twelve months ago. Back then they were once again battling in the Scudetto race with Leonardo, while now there is the fear that even the most minor objectives will slip away from them.

Yakubu has a chance conversion rate of 38% - higher than any other regular starter in the Premier League.

Blackburn's form over the last eight PL games is the 11th best in the Premier League - equal to Arsenal and better than both Chelsea and Liverpool.

No striker has scored for Bolton in almost eight hours of PL football.

Landon Donovan has claimed six assists in his nine games for Everton in all competitions this season.

Liverpool are 16th in a table of PL games in 2012 - only QPR, Stoke, Wigan and Wolves have been worse.

Norwich have scored more goals (37) than any PL team barring the top five so far this season. Grant Holt, Steve Morison and Anthony Pilkington are responsible for 24 of those goals.

Leon Britton still has the highest pass completion rate of any PL player this season - 93.1%.

Emmanuel Adebayor is now second in the PL assists chart behind David Silva after four assists v Newcastle.

At this stage last season Wolves were bottom of the table and still survived.
