Sorry if this has already been posted, but I didn't see it anywhere.

Would explain the poor form our captain has had, and would certainly be the beginning of end for Rafa.

Several Liverpol players have had a row with Rafael Benitez after turning on the former Valencia manager, according to reports.

Steven Gerrard, Fabio Aurelio and Javier Mascherano believe Benitez needs to be sacked after being frustrated with the lack of quality in the side.

An un-named source said: “Three Liverpool players are absolutely against Benitez to remain at the club.

“Aurelio, Mascherano and the skipper are unhappy with the team’s form this season and blame Benitez for it.

“Gerrard looked disinterested in training and Benitez had a go at him but Stevie wasn’t having any of it and the two aren’t currently talking.â€

Mascherano is out suspended along with an injury while Aurelio has been dropped from the side after being kept out by Emiliano Insua.

Hahaha.

What a pair of queens

They have a shoutbox there!

Might be true......Gerrard is 30 and knows his window for PL success is closing with every fucking month.

Gerrard has every right to be enraged, but fucking *Aurelio*??!

That cunt can bang it up his balsa-wood arsehole

He'll be out for six months if he does
He must be a more important voice in the dressing room than we all gave him credit for.

Let's face it, it must be hard being Stevie G, money asides, what the fuck does he have to look forward to this season?

*awaits the inevitable pink specky brigade to sing a chorus of 'we'll win it next year.'

Ideas above his station?

He'll be remembered as one of the greatest players to ever play for the club, and a legend.

Benitez?

A footnote
Yep, no question. He is a legend, and he will be remembered and talked about as long as Liverpool Football Club is in existence. But there is plenty of evidence out there that confirms he really believes he is as important, if not more important, than the heirarchy at the club. Whatever the ability of a player, they cant question the manager in front of the other players, even more so considering he's the club captain and his overall status at the club.

let's hope this is just more rumors ... it can only cause more issues, which this team quite obviously doesn't need.

I think when the manager is losing the plot the captain needs to speak up

Fair point Rosco. But rounding up other first team members, wild west style, for a showdown is pretty shit. Presuming this actually happened, of course.

If we could afford it, I think Rafa would have been out already.

Players turning on him, crap results and soon the fans will follow. I'm not sure how long Tom and George think they can wait while their "investment" is going down the drain.

The worst thing is, if we got a new manager and a "change", there is still time to turn it around and get a 4th spot. But if we wait to long, I feel it will have no effect at all regarding CL qual.

Don't know about "out already" but I do think Rafa would have been walking a tightrope by now. H and G nearly got rid when he took them on in the media, and IMO it was the fans who saved him then. Now, his hold on their/our support doesn't seem to be what it was.

According to a post on TLW copied from RAWK, the Yanks believe the club has a good enough foundation in terms of fanbase etc. to sustain the club through midtable mediocrity until they repay the debt.

Don't believe it though.

His status at the club gives him every right to have a go and if the story is true we should thank him for it. Staying quiet while our season goes down the shitter would be worse.

Having said that injuries or not he hasnt really kicked a ball for us this season

c'mon bren, the winner of the european cup in argubly the most dramatic cup final ever will remembered as more than a footnote.

you'd hope.

I'm not so sure Niall. Does Giggs have the right to speak his mind in the United dressing ie. confronting the manager? He has done a lot for the club, won all there is to win, and is considered a legend. Would he pipe up? No fucking chance. The manager runs the club, not the players. We'll go through managers like Chelsea do if we let the players run the ship like the chavs do.

Nah, that sounds a bit strange. If there's one thing we've realized it's that we're dependent off, it's CL footy. And that won't happen at the pace we're in. A few seasons without it would be horrible for our beloved club.
