It doesnt. We're talking about a few competitve games to gel the system and formation.
Just forget it, I think that will be easier than continuing this.

I think Henry had it right during the week, it can't be done overnight.

I think the squad is pretty awful, others disagree and think they've just been playing below themselves for three years now and the right manager can bring the best out of them. We'll see.

I like the Borini and Allen signings, but it's going to take so much more than a couple of decent signings and some new ideas.

That's the first good post you've typed in ages.

Henry says it can't be done overnight (very deep, John, very deep), but presumably Brendan is starting from the level of eighth place. It's surely not unfair to expect him to manage, at least, to match that?

The expectation may be that we dont fix what was wrong overnight. However we beat West Brom away last season.
I dont know that we should be adding new shit that we have correct.

Good to see where you've set out your stall Macca. I note your repeated digs in this thread as evidence that he mightn't get that time from you eh?

Bit of a contrast to last year when you gave that halfwit Dalglish a free ride.

I was a Dalglish critic last season as well but I still cringe a bit when you call him a "half-wit".

A bit brattish n'est CE pas?

Any Liverpool fan should. As valid as many of Ryan's comments may be, and as insightful as many of his game summaries have been, talking with such a lack of respect about Dalglish should set teeth on edge. Its wrong - end of.

We can regurgitate his tenure if you want?

130M spent on retards, which will set us back years.
8th.
The worst league record in about 50 years.
Worst home record in the same time.
And a public relations debacle.

"Halfwit" is nigh on complimentary.

Agreed. There can be many criticisms laid at Kenny's door for last season's campaign, but nobody should ever forget, not for a second, what that man has done for this club. He deserves a damn sight more respect from some fans, than he has received this year.

It was a disaster and there's no sugar coating it.
Still, he's a club legend. A bit personal imo.

Look, I'm overdressing it for effect. Fair enough.

I do think his 'legend' status as you put it ensures he gets a free ride for that mess last year. All fair and well, but people should recognise that what he did is going to set us back years.

Rodgers is not going to get much stick. People will rather go to "meh" and don't care than having another round of pure frustration. There is only so much you can take of that.

Our long term ambition and aim is to play like Swansea obviously. Rodgers came in with a philosophy that it will take time before Liverpool plays like Swansea (he should be real glad it is Swansea from last season, and not the new sexySwansea he aim to copy 😉). Swansea was seen as "not too shabby for a team lacking money". A little bit like the old Crouch statemenet, not bad with the feet for such a tall man.

He has two very tough games now, and it can possibly make or brake his foundation. An ugly mess against City will be bad for the chap. Arsenal is a team we should beat at home but they can easily snatch a result. It is enough quality in that team.

Will more time guarantee that we end up like Swansea? I certainly hope that whatever happens we will not here any excuses related to what money City and United can spend every time we loose against Norwich or Stoke. I don't know excact hom much money it takes to beat these teams, but it seems like every fucking Liverpool manager come up with that every time they loose to clubs with absolutely no money.

Actually, if you bother to search out other comments I've made about Rodgers, there have been some very positive comments. Sometimes I'll be critical, sometimes I will be positive. I realise that's an alien concept to you, the great 'setting out your stall' exemplar, but that's how ordinary people work - they avoid being like you. Sorry to disappoint you, but I guess projection is at work again. This place is getting like RAWK.

If i was a mod id delete this thread!!!
😉

And Ryan we were ALREADY set back. By Rafa (7th) and Roy (14th) when Kenny took over. He certainly wasnt responsible for us being 'back'
You could argue that he didnt move us forward as he should have, although to me winning a trophy and playing in 2 finals in one season and a playing staff that doesnt include Konchesky, Poulsen, Jovanovic, Krygiakos etc is a step forward. Maybe the kids in Portugal are only talking about league positions these days.

You need to fuck off you jumped up piece of shite.

And then Ryan periodically claims not to be disrespectful in reference to Dalglish.

I dont have any problem with Ryan calling Dalglish a halfwit or whatever else he wants to call him.
Its his opinion and hes entitled to it.
Who really cares?
