Reina - 6 - did he have to do anything? if I missed a save, make it a 7.

GlenJo - 7 - he played well, intercepting many passes, and attacked well. Great shot too.

Agger - 7.5 - Another strong game ... Please stay healthy.

Skrtl - 8 - MOTM - great header, and yet again, strong defensively. His partnership with Agger has been brilliant.

Jose Enrqiue - 7 - quiet game for him attacking wise, but was solid defensively and rarely troubled bar an early cross from Albrighton. Our LB 'issue' is solved for the next 5-7 years

Downing - 6.5 - he wasn't bad, but I just want more. He's better than this ...

Adam - 6.5 - solid game defensively, but wasn't as big a factor in the attacking play. Should have set up up Shelvey for a goal

Henderson - 6.5 - solid game too. His fitness is improving, and one hopes that allows him to impose himself more on the game.

Bellers - 7.5 - goal and assist. Keep it up Bellers.

JonJo - 7 - great flick and got himself in good positions. A good game by Jonjo.

Suarez - 6.5 - a quiet game by his standards, where he looked a bit out of it and yet, should have really scored 2 goals (2 more posts/crossbars).

Subs:

Carroll - n/a - The team isn't built for a player like him.

Carra & kuyt - n/a -

Daglish - 8 - good team, and solid result. The footy we're starting to play - keeping the ball, moving it effortlessly, creating chances etc is great. We need a goalscorer to make a real push for 3rd/4th.

Skrtel scored not only a great goal but also a vital one. He was not my MOTM though, a bit more sloppy today with his distribution than we've seen of late.

No way was Andy Carroll as good as Suarez or Adam.

He didn't even look as if he gave a fuck.

And Adam did the right thing with that chance- he was in a central position with a bit of space. He had as good a chance as Shelvey would, and was unlucky not to score.

Nope, Suarez was all alone on the right. Should have passed it.

I don't agree ... It was a 3 on 2 with two players on his flanks wide open (Suarez & Shelvey). It was like Maxi's goal against the Chavs where Bellers had a shot but passed it off to make it a 1 on 1 ... I like Adam - don't worry! 🙂

.... and Adam should have passed to Shelvey (though he probably saw who it was and knew he'd either scuff it or blast it into Row Z).

I'll agree with Doc Mac. I think the two defenders were being spread open by the two wide players and opened the middle for Adam to shoot. It was a perfectly legitimate choice and he was unlucky. And, it was actually quite good defensive play by the two defenders.

aaah Martin Skrtel. The same man that 3 weeks ago Dreamy was demanding we drop for Sebastian Coates because he "can't win the ball in the air, makes too many sloppy mistakes and his passing is awful".

Nominate me for obsession of the year all you fucking want cunts, but this chump needs outed.

Because no-one on this site knows Dreamy talks complete bollocks?

Come on. Everyone on this site who makes a point and realises that Dreamy shares the opinion starts backtracking.

You going to out Boy George as being gay next?

'magine being a Villa fan. How utterly shite would that be?

Excellent use of an apostrophe for abbreviation there. It really cut down on your typing.

Come on Ryan. According to yourself Agger can't hit a pass either nor is he that good a defender. He's just blinkered us all to believe it with his silky-moves or something.

We've all got our blindspots. Even me.

No, not me actually.

PS Skrtel, for me, is one of the most improved players in the squad this Season. Well done lad.

Thread bumped for after work..

And kudos, Kris..

Skrtel really has been doing well, as has Agger.

I had so much hope for them as our CB duo, and it may just happen now..
