Ooof!

Let's be quite clear here, Ryan's been biting my style since KT days

The only thibg he's added is chalkboard tactics, less wit, and a dash of racism

Trufax

Racism? I must have missed that.

Aussie open thread, plus numerous others.

I've heard from a few people that the players dont get on with him at all. They thought he;d come in to help rafa see their viewpoint & bridge the gap but he just does exactly as Rafa asks instead.

getting on with the mananger is neither here nor there, I'm sure everyone got on well with uncle roy

How is that a surprise?

Anyone watching him kowtowing around that pork chop-headed cunt Allardyace could have seen that

And then there was his attempts at being Bolton manager, ear-piece and all

I didnt say it was her nor there, but you'd assume if Rafa went they wouldnt want to make Sammy manager when players have a problem with him already.
Youre missing the point spider. The players are supposed to confide in and have a trusting relationship with the am. What we have is a shit cop, shit cop situation.

A couple of people on RAWK claim it will be announced tomorrow that he's leaving. Probably bs.

Leaving? What, now? Or at the end of the season?

If it's the latter, that would make zero sense in terms of the timing of the announcement

That's coming from a lot of places now though.

I know most want him gone and that's that, but this kind of speculation still worries me.

We've seen a turnaround in that we're starting to pick up points a little more consistently. What a strange time to change things.

Stu, even in your *wildest* fucking dreams, has there ever been an occasion when I have listened to, or considered, anything you have to say?

Give. A. Fuck.

The timing would be fucking ridiculous, but then that's exactly what I'd expect form our owners.

Wait, what have the owners done wrong here? Give an under-performing manager permission to speak to another club, which in turn prevent paying off his contract? Seems fine to me. I've said in the past if Rafa finishes fourth then he can have another year, but there's nothing wrong with replacing him now. Managers have been sacked for so much less.

I think it's precisely that attitude that has kept him in the job in the past. That is, a decent run towards the end of the season following a poor start. And for the most part, we've seen the cycle repeat itself.

Turning things around now would mean very little to me. It's taken him far too long to arrest an increasingly dire situation and there's absolutely no reason to believe that a resurgence in the latter part of this season would be carried over to the beginning of next season anyway.

I think Hicks is dying to get rid of Rafa.

If he has the chance he'll take it. He knows that Rafa's popularity with the fans is currently low and so this might be his chance.

Fuck it, get Kenny in charge and lets become the new Newcastle

Well yeah, Liverpool fans are possibly guilty of being a little bit too loyal at times and that coupled with the owners / financial situation has probably afforded Rafa a much easier time than he'd have gotten at any other top club.

There is a definite fear of the unknown here for me though. It does feel that we are at a very critical time for the club and the dangers of getting it wrong are all too apparent.

Generally speaking, I think Liverpool fans are quite loyal when it comes to backing the manager. I don't wish to have a petty debate about it.

I didnt say I had any evidence!!

Plus, admittedly Hicks is obviously a man of his word
It was Gillett who made the spade in the ground comments.

You're not a member of SOS by any chance are you ?

Our form in the last 6 games is some of the best in the league and so it would be mindless to sack him unless we have our no.1 target for next manager in the bag either for now or in the summer.

P.S. Mods - how do I got about changing my username???

How much wronger can things get Keni ?
so rafa fails to finish in the top and we get rid? so what happens if the new manager fails to reach the top 4? worse, what happens if he fails to reach the top in his first season? we get rid? the truth is when you take in account the opposition facing him, the limitless money of chelsea and the decades experience of manu (also with buckets of money) the english league is the hardest league to win. manu and chelsea have won the league every season he has been here, I want to know what right a liverpool fan has to expect rafa to overhaul that seeing as how he has spend less? if we're talking savvy and know how rather than money than fergie has more experience than him.
