Did a 10k run last night, got out of the shower and collapsed on my bed. I turned the radio on by chance to see if I could get the golf scores and lo-and-behold there's a live show from Liverpool featuring an audience of 500, Rafa and Ian Brodie.

The interviewer did a 30 minute interview with Rafa and it was superb. His love for the city is unbelieveable, he was asked why he has now chosen to live in Liverpool instead of Madrid and he seemed confused by the question and just re-iterated how much he and his family love the city and how happy they are to be back.

He was asked about his future and he said he definitely would rather stay in The Premiership in preference to the Spanish league. When pushed as to which type of clubs he would consider he replied "Well obviously it's difficult with Liverpool because Kenny's doing such a great job".

He confirmed what we all knew, that it was Montse who filled him in on everything he needed to know about the city of Liverpool (re: the 2nd world war, Thatcher etc) and also about LFC.

The crowd really warmed to him and he was very entertaining. Ian Brodie was on after him to sing a couple of songs (brilliantly, Oh Lucky You and Pure) but requested to meet Rafa first and apparently gave him a hug. Afterwards Brodie said that despite the fact he shouted at Rafa a few times when watching us (presumably on telly) Rafa gave us some great nights and some great memories.

I still frikkin' love Rafa!

No need for the 'oh oh'.

I don't think anyone questions how much the city and club mean to him.

no doubt, tell that to Ross.

I thnk Ross is bang on when it comes to the football aspects of his tenure, but no surprises there.

I'm considered one of the 'haters' ;D

Ross had a lot to say about Rafa being on TV all the time.
And I consider my self part of the RCDNW brigade.

Jesus. A dislike for Gollum would turn into detest with him in charge of scum and playing against the bitters with Rafa in charge would just be, well, fucked up and weird.

He's going to Everton. Moyes to the manks.

In other news, the Anfield turf has turned red overnight and the Irish Sea has become a lake of Guinness.

It would be ace if Rafa managed everton. I dont mind Everton FC like. It's just the usual bellend bitter cunts i dislike.

Fair comment, but I don't think it'll ever happen. Rafa will want to hang on to any remote chance he might ever have of coming back to LFC - not that I think that will happen either, but I can't see him permanently scuppering the possibility by crossing Stanley Park.

Rafa and I are just good friends Froggy.

He'll bounce where the money is. His wife loves it her and his kids are in school so if Moyes did fuck off which he's prob gonna do then it's a simple answer for him i reckon. I like it here. Everton want me. Liverpool jibbed me. Hhmmmm. I think he'd go for it. Imagine if the cunt got them back to 1985. HA!

I wouldn't have a problem with Rafa becoming Everton manager as long as his first transfer was a swap, Lucas for Jagielka or Arteta.

Good shout, any of Fellaini, Jags, Arteta or Baines. Fuck it I'd swap Lucas for their groundsman.

I think he's a fucking lovely player. Strong. Calm on the ball. Great passer. Hard an not a shithouse. I'd love him in our squad like but he's well going to Real. Always chumming it up with Zidane. Shame.

How do you know he's bezzies with Zizou ?

He's been Zidanes "guest" a few times Berna. Tapped up. 30 mil for Everton and bye bye most of their 42 mil debt.
