Preview England vs USA

Classic England performance so far: unable to keep the ball, occasionally explosive in attack, weirdly porous in defence, and a calamitous goalkeeping error. All we need now is a sending-off and a central defender with blood leaking through his turban of bandages and we'll be all set for glorious defeat.

Still, it's the most entertaining match of the tournament so far.

The tv in the pub (itv hd) went to an advert as gerrard scored. Comical.

Yea I'm watching the HD channel as well and missed the fucking goal. I take it the standard ITV1 channel didn't miss it then. I might chuck my HD receiver through the fucking window.

Haha, pretty much.

I feel sorry for Green though, it's always the same for England and the WC. Someone makes a mistake and gets hated by the public for ages.

Neville and Beckham were amusing, cause they were Manc twats. But Green strikes me a decent fellow, feel sorry for him after that calamity error.

Still, better that it happened in the first match than later in the tournamnet.

England will win 3-1

I thought that England and their tactics were pretty poor first half.
I think they are better that just humping the ball up to Heskey and hoping someone gets on to his knock downs.
USA look vulnerable when they have been got at down the flanks.

Oh, and Terry is going to getting absolutely raped at some stage during the tournament, probably prior to getting sent off.
He just about turn quiker than milk these days.
