Pre Match - Wetiring Woy's Wast Dance

Time to shop online for a new fridge and oven while I still have a couple beers in me and before I keep drinking for the Juventus match. Hoping to see Ronaldo sulk or cry by the end.

Not to sound like an Arsenal trophy celebrating loser but i feel like we turned a corner and achieved something there..

For me at least there was a concern that we were staring at the edge of a cliff or maybe a gentle but long downward slope. There might’ve been fortune involved but the players turned up and wanted it, they all still love Klopp and the ride continues.

Glad that season is done with though.

Great end to a shit season.

Everton with their best season ever. Finally taking 4 pts off us.

And they still couldn't make Europe.

Premier League prize money 2020/21
1st - Man City - £38m

2nd - Man Utd - £36m

3rd - Liverpool - £34m

4th - Chelsea - £32m

5th - Leicester - £30m
Isn't that just like basic pay without the extras of TV appearances, which we likely topped again?

I bet they're congratulating themselves more than anything on the fact that Pickford and Richarlison between them shredded our title chances with their fecking studs.

Was there ever even a proper investigation of the Pickford incident? That tiny-armed bellend needed to be brought up on GBH. We need to sub on a throw away player at some point in next seasons Ev game to go studs up on that cunt.

There was some sort of reconsideration because they came out and admitted Pickford should have been sent off. Fat lot of use after the event.

Despite sometimes thinking that VAR and refs in general have it in for us I think it is safe to say it is simply a case that they are just totally incapable of doing the job that they are responsible for. Take Spurs third goal yesterday for example. The ball clearly comes of Kane's arm in the built up yet the goal is still awarded. Similarly in one of our games the ball hits Bobby's arm in the lead up to a goal which was duly ruled out.
Absolutely no consistency.
If they were consistent with their judgements there would be a lot less complaints

Agreed. If they'd restricted its use to "clear and obvious" errors, as the rules actually state, that might help. The main problem there apart from inconsistency is that they're led by Mike Riley, a Dalek disguised as a human, who's a Bureaucrat with a capital "B" and was always going to mandate making heavy use of VAR because it takes responsibility out of their, hence ultimately his, own hands.

And for that goal, Bobby's hand ball was up in the center circle, and we had a lot of time pass between his touch and the goal. Yesterday's goal standing was simply both sets of officials ignoring the rules. It was an easy call, they just chose to not make it. 'Coz Harry Kane.

The second Leicester penalty was horrible too. Vardy clearly puts his arm inside Sanchez and then dives. Not a peep about it in the media.

I was actually going to reference that in case anybody thought that there was some favourable bias towards Spurs.
Unless its a bias towards English players which I really doubt.
The logical explanation is that is simply sheer incompetence.
I suspect that incompetence will continue until there is some mechanism where their decisions can be scrutinised and they are held responsible in a public manner.

Edit; I find it very strange and somewhat alarming that the media seem to have little or no interest in being part of the process of questioning the decisions.

Incompetence from VAR. But definitely bias in the media. If Salah had done it there would have been a 5 match ban campaign in the media.
