We switched in five players, so it was never going to be a fluid performance. After 3 minutes I thought we were going to implode like last year so I'll gladly take a gritty win in the circumstances.

The second goal was a rare moment of quality in an intense, scrappy game.

I missed the game today due to work do. I am a big fan of Curtis and think he should get more starts, last season I thought he was our best midfielder. I would like to know what happened today that some have given him such a low rating ?

The midfield in general was all over the show for most of the 1st half offering no cover for the back four. Unable to keep the ball. None were any better or worse so they all got crap marks.

He had 1 decent chance and never really committed to it or looked like scoring.

He was poor. He's OK as a squad player. Probably good enough to be starting for a mid to lower prem team

Tbf to him though no one in the midfield was great in the first half so no pointing the finger at him. Hendo settled things a bit when he came on for fabinho on 30 mins. Jones tried a few shots, one tame one was an Easy save and another one we'll over the bar when he probably shouldn't have shot,
