I think today's one of those days where we so piss poor all I can do it laugh and get on with it.

Decent(ish) first half performance and we were worthy of a draw and possibly a bit more, so lets not forget that. Fuck knows what was said and done during the interval but we looked clueless in the second half and the substitutions will not hold up to scrutiny.

Final nail in the coffin? No, I really don't think so. He's got a long list of injuries to point to which will buy him time. However the fact the question is now starting to be asked, by those other than Rage, is more poignant than anything else from today.
 
True, we all knew the squad was bad, but today highlights just how bad the problem is.
 
Actually you are right. Usually i'm very upset for about half a minute when we lose.....but today, i couldn't care less. Also the refs bald head was distracting me.

Appaling decisions yet again. Almost as if we're deliberately being taunted. Torres, Benny off? Benitez is certainly making it hard for people to support him.
 
i still do not believe aurelio and n'gog were injured. torres and yossi certainly were not injured when subbed.

the bench was full of rafa signings.

we were unlucky with the degan red card but once torres was off we weren't gonna score.

rafa prioritised europe - again!
 
Benitez resorts to type. He's more interested in Europe than winning the Premiership title. Always has. Always will be. But this season he's fucked up by letting Alonso go and not having his replacement available for 3 months.

Aquilani fine in midweek, he played 10 minutes

Benitez should take a risk occasionally, he is too cautiousm, where is Agger and Skrtel? he really doesn't take it seriously or he's more interested in the long term health of the players rather than getting a game won which I think is wrong. He should push them all to the limit, we have to, unless they're properly crocked like Gerrard.
 
If we lose midweek game....i think Benitez he would have a very tough week ahead. But i'm past caring at this hour though...
 
I cannot believe that Benitez took off Benayoun.

Tonight was the first time I have actually shouted "WHAT THE FUCK!" after one of Rafa's weird decisions... it's taken me many years to actually shout that out loud.... but it finally happened.

Benayoun couldn't believe it... I feel sorry for the lad .... such a top class player ... yet you see Rafa giving hopeless players like Voronin a full game.

Disgusting.

Im sorry but they where carrying injuries hence why they weren't even on the bench. Do you really think he would have had youngsters on the bench ahead of them if they weren't?

He's not more interested in it, it's just more within his capabilities.

I don't care about the substitutions, they may well be for valid reasons, and given we took a risk on Gerrard which didn't pay off, he would be crazy to take a risk on Torres. I'm sure the decision to take him off was probably decided before the game even started.

What I do care about is the fact that we've lost 6 of the last 7 matches. That's not just a bad run of form, that's unacceptable.

He's clearly not 100% fit sheiky (he's not training like the others and he's having injections). If you're going to blame Rafa for playing SG when he's not 100% then the same goes for Torres.
