Absolutely Mark.
I'm not being melodramatic when I say that Origi was literally one of the very worst players I think i've seen in a Liverpool shirt (i get the "young.... early days....foreign country...get used to the league... give him a chance to settle...." yadda yadda) but it is what it is. He was like a poor mans David NGog without the goal threat (!) in his appearances to date. But last night he was superb. I feel like ive got something to cling onto now through the inevitable ebbs and flows of his development.... we now know that there is definitely a premier league player in there, and its just a case of whether we can develop it into something consistent longer term
Spot on mate, I think we saw with Ibe and Sterling though, how a young player can suddenly go to shit and look totally lacking in any confidence, to a degree that he looks like he's hit a dead end with absolutely no hope. I'm hoping that was the case with Origi and that we can put it down to the dreadful season he and his team had in France last year. Fingers crossed anyway.
