Pay him what he wants!

It’s disgusting how I want a player past his best out of the side and believe his contract is an absolute pathetic approach by the club?

Let’s sign up Rush, Gerrard, Fowler, Molby and every other former great.

Do I think he’s in our greatest XI? Yes. Do I see him as the now and future? Do I shite.

Two thirty million quid players sharing £300k/week would have us in a better situation. Even letting him go on a free in the summer will be better than us having to spunk £300k a week on him. He’s finished.

They really wouldn't. We've been down that tired old road too often in the past - it didn't help then and it won't now. Our problems won't be solved until the club gets the finance it was always going to need to stay at top level once having got there.

Salah deserves eternal gratitude and praise for his form the last few years. But this year he's fucking shite and deserves dropping.

Why be so defensive over criticism of a player out of form? He's not the be all end all

And it is form. I don't think he's what he was, few players would be at his age, but he's still looking dangerous and getting in the right areas. It's his decision making and final shot that have been erratic, that's not down to decline, not totally anyway. I have some sympathy with what Klopp said about him being in a new system, with new players, he had near telepathic understanding with Bobby and Mane, it takes time to build that again and he's the wrong side of 30 to be starting to learn it all again.

Agreed, and would add that (like any other player doing the same kind of job) Salah needs the right service, which isn't coming from our stuttering midfield. Dropping him won't fix that - on the contrary it would make things worse, because none of our options (the fit ones anyway) are of equal quality.

Klopp is renowned for sticking with it and making it work, even if it's to the short-term detriment of the team. So I expect he will keep playing Salah until something clicks with Gapko and Nunez (or the others return). There are so many issues in the side, it's so complex why certain things just aren't working, but that's the system that we have. I'd rather see us get the best out of what we have, but it's starting to seem like that best just isn't there until we start to get players back and the whole ownership fiasco is sorted.

Now Simon, show us times lost ball, times tackled, failed take ons, chances missed and so on.

There is also a lacrosse pass - the pass before the pass before the pass before the goal?

You don't want to hear about the badminton pass

I understand the badminton pass is when the player is given the option to smash or pass, and they pass.

Been on the receiving end of a few myself.

Hasn’t Salah always gone through little periods of scoring loads followed by periods of not scoring any - these usually coincided with one of Mane’s streaky scoring runs, so hit overlooked.

If Gakpoo or Donkey brain were banging them in no-one would care.

So he's getting about 20% less service.

Meanwhile, he's gone from scoring .65 goals an appearance, to .36 goals an appearance.

20% fewer touches. 45% fewer goals.

So he's half as useful as he was in a team that's getting him useful service 20% less? Why, that's crazy, I didn't have graphs, and I already somehow put that together from watching him.

He hasn't scored loads for a year.

He hasn't scored loads for a year.

He’s scored 17 in 30 games this season.

I hear you - he’s been slack in league - but still, it’s not a complete disaster - it’s one less than Kane & Rashford and he’s been playing like shit in a team that’s playing like shit.

Take the psychology of having less opportunities into account. He’s playing shit, obviously, but the team being utter shit definitely doesn’t help a player like him.

Worth taking into consideration the no. of minutes we trail in games too, having often conceded the opening goal.

Not that I expected you to know Binny, but how times have we gone behind after Mo or Darwin miss a big chance?

Goals change games.

I'm looking at his league stats. His champions league goals are massively inflated by 4 goals against the worst team to ever play in the competition, statistically. He won't find individual defenders that bad in the league, nor teams that will just give him room.

His play has indeed been another disaster among many. On the ball he's been wasteful, both in simply retaining possession, and with changes, but worse, off the ball he isn't working enough.

He is scoring a goal every three games in the league since afcon. It's pretty consistent. It is a problem, it isn't just a symptom. We don't need to figure out how to get him more goals. We need to figure out how to win more games. He can't be a nailed on starter, but we have no choices.

The best part is when they both grin and smile after missing yet another sitter, as if, they’re having a training session and we’re 20 points ahead of everyone else on top of the table.

That’s the atmosphere during training too all season isn’t it ? It’s all fun and games to them. Go to Dubai mid season, play golf, ride camels and get a tan, while you’re languishing mid table and 100 points behind Arsenal.

Intensity my arse.

I want a bit of the hairdryer treatment from Klopp and bring back Paco’s hill !! These millionaires get paid loads and get free massages all day. Fatigue my foot.

Just look at what Ten Haag has done to those spoilt brats down at Manchester in just 6 months.
