This season Milner has said he learnt from last season that we canny afford to drop any points and it’s shown with 15/16 wins.

Pat, do you really - I mean REALLY - believe that Milner, Hendo and the rest of them are trying any harder this year than they were last year? And if so, it's because we slipped up against West Ham and Leicester in January..? That THIS year they go out to win EVERY game, versus last year's plan to only win MOST matches? That's rubbish, mate.

We're not 15 wins out of 16 matches to start the season because we lost the league last season... We're just a better team this year than we were last season, so far.

I made the bet 12 months out and made 6k. I probably am allowed a little bragging considering I backed us to make the final before the comp had even started and put money on it.

I believe human nature dictates it’s very difficult to keep up the required concentration, motivation and performance every week. Roy Keane always speaks about it and how champions can do it every week not just the big games and that’s the difference.

Obviously they want to win every game every season but I do believe the focus and mindset of the players had intensified for sure.
