Last Other Games thread of 2024 (week 19)

United haven't scored in three consecutive matches now. And lost the match before that despite scoring three in it. 11-3 against over that run.

I wonder if maybe Amorim shouldn't perhaps try playing United's highest paid attacker...?

If Brentford get a point tomorrow, I will be feeling pretty good about things. That kind of cushion with a game in hand feels more than halfway home.
Again hate to be that guy, but Brentford are missing some important players.
So don't get your hopes up.
Obviously hope I'm wrong.
Also it's not tomorrow, it's on Wednesday.

Brighton are the ones who might cause Arsenal some problems. They'll be well rested and Arsenal play them 3 days after the Brentford game.

Brentford are amazing at home but I think Arsenal will have enough to see them off.

6pt lead with a game in hand is not home and hosed by any stretch.

He's been shit and has a bad attitude. It's the right move to drop him.

First time since 1979 they’ve lost three home league games In a row.

No but still ours to lose. We have a good run of fixtures now.
Any set of fixtures that are as compressed as ours cannot be described as good. Injuries are our no1 threat now. Hopefully we play our second string in the domestic cups and protect our key players.

I do not disagree with any of that, but...if Brentford get a result, that would be lovely.

Utd will turn into the 98/ 99 Fergie team when they play us on Sunday. No doubt
Yep, they'll be well rested too.
Don't forget, they do have quality in their team, so we can't underestimate them.
Amorim is a fantastic manager and on their day United can beat any team in Europe.
Just look at how they dismantled Man C.

Gimme a sec 🤮

Anyway, where was I....
Yes, when we play Man U all bets are off.
Got banana skin written all over it.

At a certain point your hand is forced. If he'd been able to follow up on the City result, then fair play and we'd all be saying he's done well. But at this point, they're begging for a goal and this is an easy talking point for the media.

If you're not going to play him, why even name him on the bench today.

I think if Arsenal drop points before we do, their fans and players will likely give up.

It's about who blinks first right now.

They play twice before we play (and hopefully batter) United. If Arse drop points.

Well, it would be just poetic for us to be singing THAT song against United again.
