Last Other Games thread of 2024 (week 19)

So …

I actually watched that to about 2/3 as he’s actually quite engaging. Do we have a similar social media guy?

As to his points. Well, he says he thinks Amorim is the future and the Utd fans and hierarchy should get behind him and back him about 100x then precedes to point out that he cant manage or coach international footballers to do a job.

He’s getting the clicks though

not that i know of, it feels like these guys really take off when their clubs are in the shit so understandable that we don’t.

what he’s not addressing is what happens if amorims plan A simply won’t work with players who can’t adapt to it. in the meantime he needs to be working something out but it looks worse than under ten haag currently. i think goldbridge has mostly been taken by the manager dropping rashford but the shine will wear off that eventually.

i suspect amorim and united would love to pull off some chelsea style full rotation off the squad but its way too risky or difficult

We’ve got a few scum managers sacked in the past but this would be too soon as he could still inflict more damage to the team.

Yep… we need him to stay through a transfer window where Utd spend a fortune on players suited to his 343 system and entirely unsuited to whatever system Sir Gareth of Southgate wants to utilise when he’s appointed.

Any set of fixtures that are as compressed as ours cannot be described as good. Injuries are our no1 threat now. Hopefully we play our second string in the domestic cups and protect our key players.
Not just ours. Arsenal have an even tougher January. Pay attention! Poor Dee posts their fixtures but Dreamy ignores it and becomes Kelly at her most dismissive and contrary.

TBF he's actually said that and also that it'll need a few windows to rotate in the right players. He also backed ETH right up until they fired him.

He's extremely complimentary towards us at the moment too.

I think the Goldbridge is right on this.

They've already chosen the manager; they have to commit. It's not like they have a choice anyway.

The target for his first season should just be for him to avoid relegation, which is easily attainable. Then start from zero and rebuild the squad brick by brick, Nottingham Forest style.

There are financial consequences to finishing in lower league positions and missing out on Europe, though.

Given that INEOS is firing everyone and cutting costs everywhere, you'd think prize money would be important.

yea but i don’t think he answered what the interim solution is though.

if they keep this up they’ll be in big trouble and they’re not even playing amorims proper system really. we’ll see how comfortable the club and fanbase are sailing close to the wind while they build this amorim side over a long period.

realistically though they’d never get relegated, there are 3 terrible sides beneath them

The beautiful thing is that they had so many players on high wages they would get almost no cash for, and that few clubs could afford to pay. All of these are on 200k - 100k a week

Rashford - 2027
Casimiro - 2026
Mount - 2028
De Ligt - 2029
Zirkzee - 2029
Ugarte - 2029
Shaw - 2026
Onana - 2028
Dalot - 2028

Unbelievable. Look at the length of those contracts!

Hate that this is deemed an income stream. Screaming for likes. FUCK OFF STREAMER. bloody bastard. bloody fucking.

Yeah, I agree. Its just about having the biggest meltdown to attract views. People earning money for this is bizzarre in all honesty.

We need to monetise some of the crazies meltdowns on here - we’d all be rich.

mount is a proper bullet dodged, i would’ve been happy enough if we signed him at the time because i think he’s an alright player when plonked into a good side but he truly would’ve been the ox successor

i still have to remark on onana every time he is mentioned £50m, clearly not good enough, was available for free a year before 😂🤣

Everton have taught me it's impossible for some clubs to get relegated no matter how shit they are. They're a curse we have to live with forever
yea absolutely no chance but i do wonder how much the fans will tolerate on the road to an ‘amorim side’

they’ve descended to the point of saying we don’t need to win as long as the football is good that’s fine to say but it never lasts and i don’t think they’ll see either any time soon.
