Looks like Brighton may have wasted spunked their previous transfer winnings away on some duds all in space of a year. Their manager will be lucky to hang on to the end of season, I would imagine their owner was expecting a better season than currently on show.

We go 5/5 with those and I think the title is ours.

My problem with this confidence is that I think Arsenal are so defensively sound and control freaks that they are more than capable of winning all their remaining games, I have doubts about us though, I don't think we will win all our games, there is something missing about us where we look like we can lose a game and don't have enough of an idea on breaking down opposition or creating cutting edge chances. I don't want to feel like this - and before anyone says 'new signings' - I don't think signings will improve the way we play right now.

Don't know about us - but what I do know is that Arsenal will take great confidence from this result like they took from us when we lost 3-2 to them 2 seasons ago and they went on a crazy run. They are a reflection of their manager and a purely confidence team. I think they will absolutely smash Leicester in their next game. We need to be more clinical than what we are.

Also just adding - they may not be in any domestic cup competitions by Wednesday 10:30pm - that means all their focus will be the league and CL.

Arse winning all their remaining games will not guarantee anything for them. This isn’t s prime City chasing us, we just have to keep it together. Currently the gap is 7pts with the extra GD.

Their home record so far this season is the best in the PL (ours 2nd best) but still only W8 D4 L0 whilst they have the 3rd best away record (we have the best) with W6 D4 L2 so does anything there suggest they can now win 14 straight?

Just for a measure of realism Arsenal's record run is 14 straight... In 2002! The only other time they've ever hit double figures was 10 in 1987.

I'll repost this here :

If we go W8 D4 L3 then Arsenal need W10-4-0 and a better GD.

If we go W9 D3 L3 then Arsenal need W12-0-2 or W11 D3 L0 and a better GD

If we go W9 D4 L2 then Arsenal need W12-1-1 and a better GD.

If we go W9 D5 L1 then Arsenal need at least W12-2-0 and a better GD

For the record (with extra pressure from the CL and cups) I can see us going something like W10 D3 L2 (assuming a home loss to Arsenal - even though I don't see it ) which would mean Arsenal need W13 D0 L1 abd a better GD.

The pressure on them is the every decreasing number of games and they should at least make the CL ¼ finals with their draw.

5 PL games in 14 days. This will be season defining. We have a full squad (possibly minus Trent), let's see how well we manage it to ensure intensity across these.

We don’t need to win all our games even if they win all there’s (which tbh if they reel off 16 wins in a row and we drop 10 pts they deserve to be champions.

@Frogfish - I just don't see us winning the league, we are just winning matches for now - unconvincingly, to many high XG chances against us. Can see us losing and drawing games to the degree that Arsenal catch-up. I need another weekend where we win our game and Arsenal drop points to have more faith.
