Agreed. I'm starting to think that he's not a very smart player. He's got the pace and a little bit of trickery but there have been about five times where he just doesn't have the vision to spot the correct pass or he holds on to the ball too long and loses it. He's been disappointing for me.
That Benteke 45 was one of the worst I've seen from a striker for us. Especially considering the opposition.

Wasn't looking forward to this because anything less than a thrashing of them was going to be depicted as a failure. The reality is McLaren's job's on the line, and if he has any chance of getting his team to play a tighter game at a higher tempo, this is it. In that context, I'm not at all surprised, but we need much more cool thinking in the final third - no need for rushed crosses and long shots. Just hold it, pass it, move and pounce.
