No, it really isn't. If a new, proven top class manager says there's hope for the guy still, I for one am not willing to claim I know better.
A top class manager who has only been here a few months and who is still getting to know his players. We've seen him a lot longer than that.

Not at close quarters like Klopp and his coaches have. If you still think you know better, I admire your confidence but not your judgment.

I'm not sure us seeing him on telly the last few years qualifies us any better, it's a bit daft to even suggest it.

Either way, I think Klopp is just playing the game and keeping everyone happy for the time being, but the point still stands.

I don't see what he has done that qualifies him to be given a contract extension. I've seen him enough both on TV and live at games to say that he's a good shot stopper but average at everything else. We need better than him.

The contract extension could be a way of making sure we don't have to let him go for nothing if Klopp himself hasn't made his mind up once and for all yet.

The basic point stands - if Klopp's not ready to do that, neither should we be. Anything else says you think you know better than Klopp. In that case, good luck with your managerial career.

I can't believe anyone is actually defending him. Just step back and have a think about a keeper in one of the top 3 leagues in the world, playing for one of the top 5 clubs in that league, HOLDING THE BALL for 21 seconds !! Just think about it! It's not like the opposition were gegenpressing the feck out of us and he had no one to distribute it too. Shot stopping is about 20% of being a good goal keeper. I would say the biggest part of good goal keeping, is not worrying the shit out of the defence in front of you every time the ball comes near you. Something he has NEVER been able to do in his 3 years at Anfield. If he hasn't learnt to do it by now, he isn't going to learn. simple as that.
The biggest part of good goal keeping is not letting the other team score. The guy has more clean sheets than anyone else in the league and that's with our defence.

It's a bit like someone complaining that the top scorer in the league doesn't get enough assists.
