BTW I may be way off base here but does anyone else enjoy when Mellor is on the commentary with Steve Hothersall rather than Aldo?

I only listen to the Radio City match recaps but Aldo comes across as really unprofessional and downright annoying. I know Aldo is a huge red and a massive supporter but he isn't the best commentator IMHO. He is constantly talking over Hothersall and that alone is annoying as shit but half the time it's almost as if he hasn't done any prep work for the match. Not to mention hearing him come back from halftime late most games and hearing him put on his headset/pic up his microphone and breathing heavily into the mic for 5 minutes, just isn't very pleasant to listen to.

I love his enthusiasm for the Reds but someone like Mellor who is just as knowledgeable but more professional is a more enjoyable listen IMO.

Yeah I agree. Aldo's a lovely bloke but he's sounding about 20 years older than he is these days and waffles away too often. Mellor's doing really well.

I agree with the previous comments regarding resting Reina (hardly the most taxing of positions) and Sturridge hasn't played in 7 weeks.

The reverse thinking could also be true, we've got an unfamiliar-ish back four, so putting Pepe behind them doesn't exactly breed continuity or assurance we won't concede. With a shaky defense infront of him he's more prone to error, so him playing today and fucking up puts him under unnecessary pressure ahead of United.

I often comment on how biased city fm is & he's the main reason, there's no impartiality at all & he often gets things wrong most fans would know, which is worrying.
